Hi All,

Great to be part of such a passionate group of Bronco enthusiasts. I had an early (I think it was day 2) 2021 reservation that I kicked into 2022 due to wanting a black or white hardtop. I decided to put in my order this past Friday as I couldn't wait any longer. Anyone hearing what the lead times are like now?

What did you order? 2 or 4 door, MIC, 2.7, model, SAS, etc?

@BroncoPls! I'm sure my spec is going to slow this down. I specced a 2-door Wildtrak. Between the top, engine, and SAS I think I may be in for a long wait. Ordered from a supposed high volume dealer (Town & Country Ford out of Al). I ordered on 11/12 and def have not heard from Ford yet.

@broncodream 2-Doors in general are waiting longer. 7/15 reservation, 3/13/20, then 10/13/21 MY22 order, still waiting for the golden ticket in the email for a build date. Ordered with Covert here in Austin, have no clue how their allocations are, but I remain hopeful!

Early res will help but a lot these days has to do with build and dealer allocation.

Also important to know who your dealer is, due to the whole dealer allocation fiasco. In my case, I had two day-one reservations, and converted one to an order for a 2-door Black Diamond with black-painted MOD top...obviously that ain't happening til at least 2023. After I went to the Off-Roadeo (courtesy of Maxwell Ford--thanks Christine!), I was like "oh man...I really cannot wait until 2023".

That was Oct. 26...on Oct. 27 I converted my 2nd day-one reservation to an order for a bone-stock Base 2-door, 2.3 manual, Eruption Green. On Oct. 28, I got an email from Ford saying my build on that vehicle would take place the week of 12/13, and that date has held so far. If it continues to hold, I expect to see my truck around mid-January.

So to your question, I had a crazy fast turnaround once I converted the reservation to an order. If I had to guess, I'd say that was due to: 1) working with a high-volume dealer with many allocations, 2) my order being super simple with no options that could hold things up due to supply constraints, and 3) my reservation being a very early day-one res.

@broncodream like @BroncoPls! said there isnt any desert running around here and there really isnt much public land in texas outside of big bend. If you want that plan to make trips over to New Mexico. There are however a bunch of pretty awesome offroad parks, (hidden falls, Merus, Katemcy) that are fairly accessible from the austin area.

@gtx_bronc Thanks for the info. I figured. I'm coming from South Florida which has absolutely no off-roading except for a little mudding or super tight forests. And they're all really far from me. Anything is great compared to Florida. Sticking to my guns with the Wildtrak due to the leather and power seats. I know I'll spend more time on the road than off. Has this group been together long enough to plan trips/outings? I'd love to join one when I get to Austin. Thanks.

@Waiting for 4th Bronco interesting…no build date yet? If not, I’d guess that might be a function of (a) color (lots of eruption green 2-doors scheduled for 12/13), and maybe (b) my day-one reservation.

Right? Especially since Wildtrak no longer means painted-to-match hardtop, door handles, or mirrors…
broncodream
@texashoya hi are you saying that the Wildtrak isn't the only trim with painted door handles and mirrors or was it supposed to have pain to match. I thought that the Wildtrak had paint to match door handles and piano black grille and mirrors. Please set me straight if I'm wrong. Thanks.

@broncodream I'm not 100% on this--might wanna do a search on a Wildtrak-specific forum on here-- but I'm pretty sure Wildtrak is now just carbonized grey MIC mirrors, door handles, top, and fender flares due to supply constraints. In other words, right now Ford is not painting-to-match *anything* on *any* of the trims.

I hope I'm wrong for your sake. Definitely worth researching/asking around on that.
