My Nevada Off-Roadeo Impressions. I will preface this post by saying I am a beginner to off road driving. Other than gravel roads in a Jeep Wrangler rental for 2 weeks, that's about the extent of my experience.
The Bronco, is bad ass, period. Unfortunately, with no real off road experience in a Jeep, I can't compare the two. I will say that, Trail Control and Trail Turn Assist were two really cool features that now that I've experienced what they do, I can't wait to use them on my Bronco.
However, onto the Off-Roadeo experience.
It was amazing. More than I could have ever anticipated and more than I expected. The level of instruction provided was high, the level of the instructors of trail and Bronco knowledge was high and the course had everything you could have anticipated for the high desert (no water crossings or mud obviously).
Since I was by myself I got to ride at the back with one of the instructors (Diego). He was spot-on as a spotter. This is one of the biggest off road lessons I learned yesterday and that was to trust your spotter. I did and Diego had me rock crawling on 3 wheels and successfully manuevering through tight turns using trail turn assist without having to back up. If I had done any of this my first time without someone of their level of expertise I'd most likely get stuck or damage my Bronco.
If your new to off roading I highly suggest that you attend one of the Off-Roadeo locations. You'll be glad you did. If you are not new to off roading you should go as well. Just to experience how capable the Bronco is. At the beginning of the day I was nervous, but by the end of the day I had more confidence and excitement in knowing what the Bronco is capable of.
If I have an opportunity to go again, I will without a doubt. Maybe Texas just to get to experience a different location.
Last, a few photos of the location. Photos or it didn't happen, right!?
If you have any specific questions, let me know. I'll be happy to answer what I can about my Bronco Experience or the Vegas Off-Roadeo location.
