Congratulation on taking delivery. Thinking of PPF or at least ceramic coating for mine as well. Will love to hear/see the results. Did you get windows tinted too? I want mine tinted but not sure who to go with.

Congratulations! How was the experience from Krause? Was auto assigned to them but they never communicated at all. I moved to Granger.

Love to hear more about the PPF. Love to see pics.

@BTomorama No worries up this way. Way too cool of a club to benworrying about that stuff. Will just be excited to see everyone’s rigs as they start arriving!

@Hobgoblin Cool. Thanks for the reply. I'm not in the Georgia Granger group thread, but would love to be added. I am in Midway (near Campground Road/Hwy 9) so right next door!

@PizzaMan Story of my life with Krause in Woodstock. No one there knows anything about the Bronco, basically. Used the ford.com build tool to build the Bronco with me, didn't know any of the standard features that came with the Badlands, I had to educate the salesperson on quite a few things, then no one bothered to tell me that I had an "unbuildable" Bronco with a 19 priority code. Absolutely infuriating working with them, and I still don't have a build date. But we're in it for the long haul. We'll also be instructing them to not wash it and to not put their sticker on the back, or let *anyone* drive it, but we'll see...

Plan is to tint the driver/front passenger windows as well as put UV on the windshield to reduce heat. I plan to post/detail out the process of the ppf. I had another vehicle ceramic coated with Gtechniq and LOVED it. Would do it again but plan on taking the Bronco off-road so ppf may be better for me. Buff Guys do both and are great. They can give you pros's cons.

@PizzaMan I am planning on doing a very similar process to my FE once it comes in. Excited to follow your progress to map out what i am going to do. I have had a few cars coated with Gtechniq as well. But thinking about doing something different for the offroading

@awerk66 Yup! This will be my first PPF car but I feel it's the best to protect my investment.

Krause was my original dealer, they were never able answer any of my questions.

So I called a dealership in Michigan, where we are originally from, they were so helpful so I switched. $75 in doc fees versus Krause at $699 or $799.

Just going to make it a little vacation to pick up the Bronco and visit family.

That is IF my Bronco is ever release from MAP prison, been “In Production” since 7/1!

@PizzaMan Saw that it took three weeks from blend to delivery. Mine had a Wednesday (July 21) blend date so I am figuring mine should be here by August 12 but I am, of course, hoping for sooner. Do you know if your vehicle was traveling during the 4th of July holiday? Thanks.

@NewToBronco It sure was! It typically sat during the day and covered most of the distance at night. Made stops in Indy and Nashville then sat in Downtown ATL before finally making it to Lawrenceville. It sat there 2-3 days before finally getting dispatched.

Yeah, would definitely be interested in the PPF info and price versus ceramic.

Here's a good thread that goes into that. One main difference I'm doing is Buff Guys is ordering the FE graphic stickers and putting the PPF under them vs. on top. That will prevent any air/gap or potential ridges from forming. They also. use the custom made (laser measure) kits from xPel vs. a generic film that's cut (in thread). Personally I think that's the right way to do it. Then they'll add a ceramic coating on top of the PPF for further protection / cleaning ease. You've got so many options depending on your budget / type of driving. Cost could be from $2K-$5K just depending on how much you want done (glass, interior, wheels, roof).

I live in Marietta but I’ll be picking my Bronco up in Michigan!

Any Atlanta area Ford dealership recommendations for my future service needs?

Very jealous! I believe I drove past you last weekend in the Roswell area. I am an FE reservation as well, was originally cactus gray but made the switch to Cyber Orange. I know of another person in the area who is getting a lightning blue FE as well. No conflict of colors yet!!

@awerk66 Probably did pass us! Hard to miss it if you see it!! We've gotten plenty of "Jeep waives" and head turns as well as cell phone pics/videos and thumbs up. My wife hates the attention so I guess that means I'll be driving "her car" more!! ;)
