Hey CenTx Broncos! I posted this on another thread, but wanted to add here too since y'all are my peeps and have been so great with your feedback and advice.

Hi Everyone!

Just picked up my Big Bend (2.3L, soft top, mid-package) on Monday from Mac Haik in Georgetown. I'm loving her so far and already thinking of all the fun mod's coming our way. She's getting a 2" body lift and 35's next week. Anyway, back to my subject line. When it's not raining, I want to keep the top down as much as possible. My concern here is the sun fading my sandstone/black cloth seats and of course the rest of the interior. I've never owned a convertible in Texas, so curious if anyone has any recommendations on which product I can throw on her? The only thing I see on Amazon so far that looks like it's worth a damn is Scotchguard, UV spray on, but I heard that it's a pain to apply and can really mess up your console and other plastic parts if not done right. Help?

@PC Austin Yes, I'm honestly considering doing this and almost got them from Mac Haik, but opted for other accessories instead. Plus, the sandstone mix is so damn pretty, that I felt bad covering it up. Can't wait to see yours around the road and hope you enjoyed the Off-Roadeo. It was great finally meeting one of you in person :)

@Jfoster05 Thanks! We loved the off rodeo. I pushed off my Bronco to 2022 since I'd likely get mine late this year anyways. I'm hoping to see yours on the ride sometime or during a meetup. :) I love that you want to keep the top off. I expect to do the same.

I used to be a professional car and boat detailer. Cars and the quality of their interiors have come a long way in regards to UV durability. Older cars used lesser quality plastics and were also thinner which made them fade and crack more easily. That said, the best defense is keeping vehicles out of the sun whenever possible. Get your windows tinted, use sun shades, bimini, or park under shade (not trees! the sap and debris leaves a mess on clear coats). For rubber/plastic trim I recommend VRF from Chemical Guys. It prevents them from drying out and also includes UV blocker. For fellow Bad Land owners I recommend 303 Marine for the vinyl seats. For fabric/cloth seats, I recommend Chemical Guy's hyrdothread - https://www.autogeek.net/chemical-guys-hydrothread-fabric-protectant.html In my experience, it provides underwhelming liquid protection but great UV protection given it's ceramic based, just like an exterior wax would have. If you want to learn more, I suggest browsing www.autopia.org which is the "go to" detailing forum.
