Webasto will most likely be building the mod tops out a different factory than the mic tops or Ford could just not the contract from Webasto.

I can tell you the bonding robots have difficulty bonding the mod top because of the weight. Webasto has enough difficulties running both 3dr and 5dr

@Nite93 shouldn’t be that huge of an undertaking. Jeeps been doing it for years. The technology is out there.

The building is too small for such an undertaking. Webasto has enough problems running both mic models

It's just embarrassing at this point, Ford can't even make the top they told us to buy (the Mic)!! Plus it's nice of them to not even offer a prep kit/soft for the 2 door while every 2 door i see has a fast back soft top

My daughter lives in an apartment in Detroit. There's no way I drive mine there.

I really suspect Ford will find another supplier.

Webasto was going to 3 shifts in final assembly this month(before I left). I can't imagine how bad that went.

@Nite93 in your humble opinion would you say it is currently easier for Webasto to make a three door top or a five door top? I have to imagine that FORD will now try to up the ratios of three door tops being produced since we have no other top options.

@Big Island Bronco ?♂️ I honestly don't know if the 3dr was more difficult to build. I only worked on a press and milling a night each. In final assembly we couldn't tell much of a difference.

I feel bad for everyone stuck waiting. I somehow dodged the bullet and even got moved to next week after the shutdown announcement. I did sell my truck, so I am without a vehicle until it comes in. I would be looking at alternatives if I wasn’t close.

Yeah… I wasn’t lucky enough to get a build date, but I am very happy I bought a “gap” vehicle. If the Bronco takes long enough, I’ll own both. I would have absolutely lost my mind if this happened 3 days earlier.

@Philly I also went for a "gap" vehicle a few weeks back. Cancelled my order. This roll out is a complete debacle. Will I still be getting a Bronco? YES! Will I be getting it in the next year? Probably not.

Probably 2 years in all reality considering the delays...

I just heard from my dealer. Bronco is in the plant, not shipped. Keeps getting closer, sounds like it’s in the delivery room

I just got a call from map. I could drive broncos for the rest of the week, if I want. The only bummer is the shift starts at 6pm for 10-12hrs.

?I’m broke from trying to pay for my Bronco, so I would totally do it until Thursday night at least (going to the cabin for the weekend).

Sorry. I decided not to do it. I assume it's to drive them to different holding lots or bring them to pdi/repair

I was joking, I get it. I just hope they find whatever corner mine is stuffed in
