I was thinking from when you mentioned this before that it was likely the grill mounted air damn that is motorized and closes the grill to incoming air when the engine is running cool enough. That was my initial assumption from the beginning.
Yeah, the Transit date is the estimated time it may take to travel to the final destination. I noticed mine updated about a day or so before the Ship date appeared and about the same time the Ford email arrived saying it had shipped. Not to rain on your parade and I hope I am wrong, but I think that the dealers see pretty much the same info we see in regards to ETA. Being in limbo for over a week my ETA never changed. It did this morning when the built email came through. Again, I could be and hope I am wrong.
