If it’s a big metro dealer, it could be early in the year. They will fill all of their orders first half of the year, and then will be getting stock Broncos for the rest of the year. If it’s a small or midsize dealer, they won’t even finish their reservations in 2022, and a smaller dealer who earned a lot of reservations won’t finish in 2023…so an order with them will never be built before the model gets refreshed. @Ford Motor Company has decided to screw order holders in the rear and instead send a lot of stock units out, so you may have to just buy off the lot at a mega dealer and pay their markup.

I reserved 6/28/21, ordered 8/6/21, and received a scheduled for production email on 9/16/21 for the week of 11/1. Granted I only got a 4 Door Big Bend with mid package but there's some hope. I read an article somewhere that Ford increased Bronco production by 200%. I feel like Ford is at a different place now production wise compared to 3 months ago.

I reserved July this year, ordered in August, totally expected end of next year, which I was totally cool with.

Adjusted my order - changed to a soft top, went from BD to BL, auto to manual, kept tow- somehow managed to get a build week in November.

None of this makes any sense, and my dealer was totally shocked this happened. Nobody knows what's going on.
That is truly amazing. You either avoided all of the deadly ordering sins or went with a dealer that had few orders but open allocations.

I don’t know who to listen to haha forum says don’t listen to the dealer and a bronco rep at a dealer said don’t listen to what you read on forums 🤷‍♂️
Just a word of caution. The words "My Dealer said" are right in line with the seven deadly words "We're the government, we're here to help". Just for a test ask your dealer if you order the MOD top (Gloss black top) will the 9-12 months still stand. If he says yes, you'll know he's full of shit. I don't think anyone knows when they will be available. It was 21, then moved to 22, and I'm guessing they will, or have been moved to '23 by now.

Also, Geo (above) is right. If you're going for a basic order like the Base, or Big Bend with a soft top and no other constraints you may get that built next week. This Bronco thing has been a crazy ride for many of us.

Based on what I know, they didn't get many allocations this year - around 69 (😎) but a lot of them weren't buildable orders and customers didn't want to budge on options. My rep guy said a lot of them were 2.7 hard tops or had lux. I live in CO so will have to deal with having a softie during the winter but I'm not crazy concerned.

A BL still has the mod bumper this year, my order still had tow, but I think that was the extent of my deadly sins 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think you'll be fine with the soft top in the winter and thrilled that you have it during the summer.

I think Ford has already cleared out a ton of the soft tops. A lot of dealerships (not all) had more allocations than "buildable" (i.e. soft top) Broncos, so a lot of soft tops were going right into production.

At this point I've waited long enough, so I figured I might as well order what I want and keep waiting.

I'll post pics in the year 2045 when my Eruption Green Wildtrak with MIC 2.0 and other "doomed" options finally gets delivered.

Edit: to not detail the thread. Dealer told me they had no clue when I'll get mine but it won't be soon 😅

I'm ordering a soft top but am an October reservation holder. So you're saying there's a chance?

Think you'd be first half of 2022 unless you're with Granger/Chapman/Stephens or some other dealer that did an outsized amount of Bronco business. You still might be first half of 2022 with those dealers (and Ford kinda semi-seems like it's backtracking on the allocation formula a bit today?), but the odds would be much worse I think just because they will have a ton of other buildable Broncos in their pile.

I missed the latest Ford post. Do you recall where you saw it? BTW, I'm with Granger and plan to stay. I already sent my specs.

That story on The Drive from yesterday has been updated with Ford comments that at least give the impression that they are going to make good faith efforts to fulfill reservations before stock (assuming the reservations are buildable commodity-wise).

Also in the Stephens thread, their rep is saying as of this morning that allocation info will no longer be sent out, and production will be based on what's buildable.

Neither statement is as strong or clear as I would like it to be, but the language has definitely softened compared to what Levine was saying on Twitter yesterday. The customer outrage and media attention has been noticed at Ford. Whether they follow through, we'll have to see.

Also I don't think Ford is malevolent and someone over there has to realize they absolutely can't have customers waiting until 2024 just because a dealership used a particular disfavored sales tactic. Something has to give.

I’ve reached out to three around me to order a 2022. All gave the disclaimer that they don’t know for sure but their guesses after talking to Ford were 6-9 months, 9-12 months and about 12 months. Curious what others are hearing.
If you order a soft top then 6-9 months seems believable. Ford is at a different place today vs 3 months ago in terms of production. I've read a couple articles of them increasing Bronco production substantially for Q4.

The only reason why day 1 reservation holders from July 2020 have waited this long is because production only started in June 2021, almost a year after reservations opened. 6-9 months doesn't seem crazy. IMO.

Don't feel bad brother. I've been in this fiasco since last year, and I don't know what to think either. To top it off there are many that's been in longer than me, and I would venture to say they have no idea themselves. I keep hoping that someone will throw a switch at Ford, the lights will come on, and we'll all see that light. :)
At least this forum exists haha it's like a big support group. Fingers crossed they work out the kinks and can get things moving, especially for people with those original reservations!

I'm much more optimistic about Fords statements. Based upon what I read, I think I have a respectable chance at getting a MY2022. Im ok with being pushed to the end of the line based upon some sort of secret allocation formula as long as they prioritize reservations over stock I'm good. It sounds like they are running at peak capacity, so nearly all orders except for special tops and editions should be satisfied next year.
