I just talked to my dealer about this..He was clueless....Told me he was going to check his Email...
I can't believe Ford doesn't even keep the Dealers more informed....
How can't you believe it? Did you expect Ford to send a rep to his dealership to be waiting this morning in the even that he didn't read the communicatin they sent him? He said himeslf he hadn't checked his email....

Hmmm... 22lb package with regards to a MY22 Bronco. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! ;)
Make sure to weigh your package before opening. If it's 23 lbs, Ford has bad news for you...

As bummed as I am, I’m going to continue to hold out for what I want and not adjust my build. I’ll just use this time with no car payment to save and pay off anything outstanding I have.

Can I afford a $60k vehicle right now — absolutely. Do I need a $60k vehicle right now —no.

still sad though but the writing has been on the wall.
This! Yup, couldn't agree more.

Well I sold my daily in May... I reserved a Maverick yesterday in preparation. I guess I'll buy/order it and drive it until my Bronco is made. Looking to be late next year or 23 at this point. I guess 40 mpg is a decent consolation prize.

oh, in addition...

I did the same. Been driving my 26yr old Jeep XJ “temporarily” as my daily but not willing to do that for next 1-2 yrs. Went ahead and obtained a Chrysler A-plan and will probably just lease a Jeep, keep my 99ed Bronco order and see what happens. Nice gif BTW.

Anyone else feel a little relief that we finally got some sound information from @Ford Motor Company?

Then realize they didn't even send it to reservation holders, we received it from a forum.....SMH

In all seriousness, we'll probably get an email today, but I'm just venting...

So, in a quick glance between work meetings, things I don’t see include:
1. “We are discontinuing the relationship with Webasto immediately and bringing roof-production in-house (or to another supplier).”
2. “We are ditching this design for a new one.”
3. Any mention of physical issues with the roof, like the separation/delamination seen in many buyers’ pictures. They are referring solely to “appearance” issues.
I feel like they are badly missing the mark here.
Not missing…not disclosing!

Since I'm an early reservation holder and have not received a build date, I think I'm simply better off holding out for a 2023 Warthog. I just may push my 22 reservation to 23. Let's just hope Ford takes care of the early 21 reservation holders. Putting them first in line for a 23 Warthog would be pretty damn nice.

I don’t see where the Broncos built and parked at MAP are addressed in the leaked FAQ.
Am I missing something?

UPDATE- I see it’s part of “My Build Date Has Passed” section.
yes. It is addressed that they will be processed as the Newton’s become available

Don‘t worry…. Bronco scented candles are set to be delivered tomorrow to soften the blow.
I for one can't wait to hear how the different trim level scents compare. "Black Diamond has an evocative woodsy aroma with pine overtones whereas Wildtrack is an intriguing melange of sage and mesquite."

I'd laugh if I weren't so busy crying.

Can I ask a basic question and maybe just get a basic yes/no if that's even possible? I have a BL, Sas, 2.7, 4 door WITH a MIC top, WITH a VIN and WITH a production week of 8/30 (moved from 8/23 last week and it's the 3rd time it's been moved). Am I getting a '21 MIC and is it going to be produced the week of 8/30 based on language in this announcement and if NOT, when will it be produced (using Ford's language, not all of our smart ass sarcasm). OR does it make sense to switch to soft top and follow up to that is: Can I even switch to soft top given that I already have VIN and schedule date?
I have a 2.3 manual , 4-door BL with a MIC and the same build date as you. I called my dealer and basically asked what the hell does this mean for my build and could I switch it to a soft top even though everything I've seen says no because I already have a VIN. They said I could still switch, which I'm calling BS on. I followed up to get a real answer but no response yet. Basically, I think I'll be lucky if I see mine before December and probably later, which sucks.

Ok… For everyone wildly throwing around comments and opinions on this with no basis let me give you my thoughts on this…

First, I’m a former process engineer with an automotive supplier who worked with all the manufacturers. In an 18 month period I brought on a new facility expansion with 35 work centers and 22 new vehicles including the first generation Ford Edge. I have some insights/experience in this.

1) Webasto did not get the normal ramp up period a supplier gets. COVID cut into it when their facility was delayed. Many issues would of been worked out before Build #1 if this had been normal times.

2) Everyone assuming Ford just decided this week to redesign the tops, I highly doubt this. For an issue this size, I’m sure Ford and Webasto have been working multiple contingencies. I’ll even wager that the new top has already been produced in a normal production environment on the production equipment (ie not a prototype under ideal conditions). This leads me to my next point…

3) The timeline given sounds about right for getting the new tooling in place. Not redesign/testing/production ramp up . Might even be using the same tooling with modification. Also, the molds in this application wear out with time, they are constantly being reworked/refurbished/repaired. New tooling in this case is not a big deal.

4) Give the people involved with this a break. I’m betting they have been working non-stop, 80 hrs weeks and are beyond exhausted. When I did this work it was not uncommon for me to come home at the end of the day, lay down in the middle of the living room floor and fall asleep. You don’t know what this is like and frankly, most of you aren’t up to handling it.
yeah, it sounds like a lot of folks who grew up with participation trophies don't like it when their toys aren't ready.

So what's your best guess for when the first LOT broncos get shipped?
