Not trying to. I don’t have mine yet either and I have zero updates since it shipped. Dealer says he can’t see anything…ugh!!!

I think you got one of the good ones (MIC)! Keep us posted!

Rub it in.
I was hoping all the rest of the week after my “happy birthday” from uncle Perma that I’d wake up to the built email! No dice. Like I said I’m resigned to believing September is when I’ll see her.

There's been a lot of rock rail vehicles that have shipped. You know what the difference is between theirs and ours?

Also, you should ask them what the description means on the Left-most of the column they are referring to. That will clear it up.
With my build it’s hard to imagine it could be anything other than rock rails unless it’s a QC problem. I have a BD, 2.3 manual mid package. The only extra was floor mats.

Sorry, no. I forgot to mention the most important one!
100% not rock rails. Just saying. Plants hold vehicles back for a lot of reasons. Rock rails was not one of them, even though I thought it was in the beginning. I can’t help prove or disprove, just saying what I know is true.

I’m in CT as well. What’s your build date and rotation? My dealer said it gets shipped by rail then a holding yard in NJ. He said sometimes it’s in the holding yard for up to two weeks but sometimes it’s the next day it ships from there.
My build date was 7/20 and rotation#8141

I heard the same info about the NJ rail yard… fingers crossed

It will just have to remain a mystery until the magic email arrives. In the meantime, I will continue rubbing prayer beads and burning incense until something spectacular happens.

When and what did you order? FE holder here. Reserved first minutes of launch. No email, nothing. Black hole. Now into the 13th month.

Did you actually build a Bronco through a dealer, or just reserve one? You could be in trouble.

Assuming your referring to me. Not like there is much to say that hasn't already been said, about 6k units are on hold for the supplier quality issue we all have been keenly aware of for some time now. Let me dispel some roomers/concerns I keep seeing as I've gone through 15 pages today.

1)No Ford is not going to scrap the units, I have seen hundreds of cars get ripped apart to replace the body harness and then get put back together before. Replacing a roof because of delamination is nothing.
2)Most likely MAP will bring in the high seniority and product specialist from the off shift and run the vehicles through the mod center for a campaign like this. Trying to fit vehicles back into the line would be a mess and not needed for this.
3)There is not a chip shortage on bronco
4)You cant take parts allocated for the line and shift them to the vehicle that are on hold. That would shut the line down and they have 100,000 of these thing to build. Im sure the roofs are a JIT part so I'm going to guess that if Webasto was up this week when MAP was down then they were probably making tops for the stop ship trucks. Then next week would go back to supplying the line.

I'm just sitting here watching all these people loose there minds. I waited almost 6 months for my car to ship from Germany to Michigan after being built, so 1 month although its annoying is not that bad. Just relax the vehicles will get fixed and ship as soon as they can be, 2 weeks after you get your shinny new bronco you wont care that you waited an extra month.

But let me give everyone who read this far one more bit of advice, your sales person, dealer GM, or regional rep have no clue what is going on. In the automotive industry the dealers are always the last to know. I have been told a dozen times by my sales person that she needs to talk with me more often to get info. If you want them to check Vehicle Visibility to check the status that is fine but that's about all they can reliably do.

TL;DR: Units are still on hold, they will get fixed, breath and relax, stop asking your dealer they don't know
Well believe me or not that's what the number is. MAP has been averaging between 600-800 broncos per day so it doesn't take long to hit 5000. I'm going to assume you have never worked in the automotive industry so ill walk you through.
What most likely has happened is that Webasto provided questionable parts, perhaps missing a fix or process improvement in order to keep the line running. Then all vehicles built in that batch would be quarantined and held for a secondary inspection and repair/replacement of any sub standard tops, anything that passes inspection would be shipped.

Second that parking lot is much bigger than you think it is. One thing is when parking vehicles for a stop ship they don't park in parking spaces, It is literally bumper to bumper, mirror to mirror. That west lot you point out is over 15 acres doing a little math and assuming worst case every bronco is a 4 door with a 1.5ft clearance all around that single lot could hold over 5500 Broncos. Then of course there are the lots to the east and off site lots as well.

Fingers crossed next week they will be able to get many of these units out the gate. Ageing units do not look good when meeting with the high ups so they will want to move as many clean units off the plants books as they can so they can stop talking about it.

Not seeing how this pertains to me or the potential of rock rails being one of potentially many things holding an order up.

if they can rework a roof they can also add rock rails not on the line first time through. Not ideal for JIT, but not impossible.

I’m not upset about waiting. Truck will get here when it gets here.
