I think normally it wouldn't matter unless it's a FE. My assumption is if someone backs out of a FE the dealer they selected will get it in inventory. That is why many dealers may try to be hardasses on the FE.

Ive said this in many threads tho... unless you're rich and willing to eat a shit ton of depreciation I wouldn't pay ADM on a mass produced vehicle. Trust me next year they will have a new "edition" just like the "first edition" pretty much destroying any special value it had.

I have a feeling that things will not be that easy. I specifically asked if I could just build and order two in December, see which spec I like better and take it - leaving the other behind. My rep indicated that there will be some tracking system in place by Ford. It really sounds like they are trying to stop dealers from playing games - specifically ordering through the reservation system just to get dealer stock.

If I had it my way I would be able to release my FE allocation to the 3501 person who tried to reserve one while keeping my spot in line.

It appears the same process Ford used for MachE. Reservation holders will be contacted to convert to an order. At this point if you want to switch dealers, you tell them and Ford support processes the dealership reassignment.
Upon confirmation of dealership change, you'll firm up your order including trim, color, options and your reservation number then gets an order number with it.

If your fine with the dealership you reserved with, you'll convert to an order right when your notified and specify trim, options, color etc.

Reservations will have an expiration day that if not converted to an order, reservation is no longer valid. Production will be in order of reservation date and then order date with batched in like trims etc.

If we wait until the final days to convert our reservation, maybe to time with a lease end, or whatever, they aren't going to hold the production run/batch for us. We will just que the front of the next batch schedule according to the reservation number.

Example:
1st reservation and 1st order conversion dates = among first batch of Broncos made.

1st reservation and the very last order conversion date = Your Bronco will arrive later, like you planned, and could be with much later Reservations that converted as soon as they were allowed.

Hope this helps.

Did she say if you could change OUT of a FE? I reserved one in haste and just don't feel the Bronco is worth $65k.. but my reservation is super early...

I imagine you can. I assume they have way more than 3500 reservations for the FE, and only capped it at some value above 3500 expecting that people will drop out.

I have already had quite a few emails offering to buy my account lol.

Unfortunately my second reservation is on the same account ... that was a mis step lol
Iʻm not sure how you would go about transferring, isnʻt the reservation locked into you as an individual, not you as an account? What kind of offers are you getting? Iʻve got a 2 dr FE reserved...

They will ship it to you; not for free, but still.
Is picking it up from the factory an option? Sounds like an awesome road trip opportunity. Not a bad way to save on the shipping and put that towards accessories!

Better off taking delivery and flipping it if only 3500 are being made.
Hypothetically because I wouldnt sell it and Im not trying to profit etc...

Wouldnt adding the +1 owner be bad for value?

Applaud the Capitalism thinking but,

*Reservation is connected to Name, address, credit card information so we can't "Sell" our reservation.

There's too much at stake and Ford can blacklist the reservation if they see it changed to another person that's different than the original name on the credit card used to place the reservation.
