Congrats!

I'd be lying if I said I hadn't considered doing the same thing since the Defender has one massive advantage over the Bronco: it can actually be acquired (with top choices!). Given the near and medium term used car market conditions, I'm still half tempted to buy a Defender now, and sell/trade in for a bronco warthog in 2023

That can't be a Land Rover, there's no puddle of oil underneath it.

Are those Lucas 3 Position LED Head Lamps? Dim, Flicker and Off

They’re bad ass but I would never trust that brand for reliability.

I was on the waiting list, and still am for the black diamond bronco that I reserved last year. Yesterday however, I made a decision that came after talking with my dealer and being a year or so in waiting for this car and still not having any idea when I will get it was not what i wanted. After looking around, I managed to find a Land Rover defender 2022 model available at my family friends landover dealership. Being run 24 in buying my first car on my own, I didn’t wanna wait another year when I have the money saved. And could get an absolutely beautiful Land Rover defender. I love it because it has white steelies, white top, and a flaky green paint that I love. It has everything that I wanted in the bronco, with so much more comfort, space (I am 6’6” 235) and capability. Not to mention, it has rubberized backs of its trunk adjacent seats.

I will however miss the customization aspect of the bronco, and the idea of it, but in the end the defender exceeds the model that i had ordered. I wish you all well on your journey, The bronco is a beautiful truck.

So for now, this is goodbye…. Hope to see you out on the trails!

I bought 2 new Defender 90s in the 1990s. A green 94 softtop and a blue 95 hardtop. Back then Defenders were the bomb and I was in love with them, even with all their quirks.

Unfortunately, I was painfully disappointed when the new Defenders came out. They are just another luxury Land Rover road vehicle barely distinguishable from Range Rovers and Discoveries. They have completely lost their off-road mojo and are over priced.

You are young and will learn . . . good (BETTER!) things come to those who wait! From everything I hear and read I hope your friends dealership has a friendly service department because you'll be getting to spend a great deal of time with them!

IMO if you are willing to convert to a Rover you were probably never really sold on the whole Bronco gig anyway - the open air relaxed outdoors style . . . and that's great for you.

Enjoy and best wishes. In the immortal words of David Lee Roth - 'I'll Wait . . . '

Did he say more capability?
Yeah , I caught that in his comments I'm like, maybe he meant more capable as in "has a nice ride on the road and very pleasant interior"? it could not have meant off-road.

Yeah I caught that maybe he meant when he said that it rides nice and has a very nice interior? Surely he didn't mean it's more capable off-road

That is not a shade of green that I could vibe with. Not sure how to describe it.

Good luck with it, I'm sure its nice being a LR, but I'd hate to pass on the Bronco for it. You still have your order it sounds like if plans change.
