So, we get the prep kit for the hardtop if we order the soft top now, well September. Then we can order the MIC top in 2023 as an accessory for more money. Does it still include the sound deadening which is another $495 if it doesn't?

I very highly doubt that dealer builds will have any affect on allocations. The whole point is that Ford can build more bronco chassis than hard tops, so they either have to slow down on building chassis or send them out as “undesirable” builds to dealers to sell.

So, dealers get a bunch of non-Sas 4DR OBX in Cyber Orange and Antimatter Black Blue with the Navy Pier interior?

Well technically we as build-holders have just become "money in the bank" while they stamp out soft top 4 doors by the thousands and send them to dealers with empty lots and tons of walk in customers. They are making money hand over fist.

What’s in the kit though? They conveniently left out the details…

the described briefly what’s included in the kit in the FAQ section. But once again, Ford somewhat screws people who’s bronco will get built before sept with no free prep kit. Why don’t you just put the dam connections in in the first place and you wouldn’t be shouting yourself in the foot….again!

Pretty soon Ford is going to have so many different scenarios they are trying to cover that they won't know whether to sh!t or go blind. I recommend everyone get very thorough documentation of anything and everything Ford tells them.

You may not get the email then. I got the email but have not received a VIN or build date and I reserved 2nd day. I'm crossing my fingers that I am not affected since I requested the MIC grey.

looking at your build you basically have every deadly sin on there. I really hope this roof fiasco doesn't affect you!

F is flat in after hours trading...this isn't even a pimple on the butt of something that would move the needle on the stock price.

Bingo. Them building big bend and OBX soft top 4 cylinder Broncos will have zero impact on your build if it’s the one commodity constraint. It’s not like they’re going to build a bunch of wildtrak hard tops for dealers. If you want one of those you can switch your order

That's reasonable if they build dealer stock exclusively using parts that are not a commodity constraint.

But if they start letting dealers request soft-top stock that includes higher trims, Sasquatch, 2.7L, etc. and those start delaying existing customer orders that were waiting for tops, that's a very different issue.
