Anybody else thinking about cancelling if their build estimate is 2022?

Looks like they raised $1K for 2022, but still great alternative to Bronco. White steelies, 3D Surround Cameras, Lane keep assist, HomeLink, 10" screen, Power Heated Seats, LED's standard on base.

yea they list that on the main site, but when you go "search inventory" that is not the price you pay. That's a generic b&p. You can't b&p the defender and have it delivered like the bronco. It will just find defenders that match the closest to what you built

Didn't everyone with a reservation have to place a non-refundable deposit? Mine was $1k.
So, if you're willing to walk away, does that mean you walk away from your deposit (or buy another vehicle from the same dealer assuming they have a policy to transfer the deposit)???

Depends on the dealership. Some said it's refundable while others said it wasn't. Some only asked for $500

Bruh, hired drivers on scripted trails isn’t real. If you’re in the blind faith group no matter how many years you have to wait, then good for you. Props. But I’m not OCD like that. I’m not stuck on an obsession.

After a few convos, I need a date. After a few dates, I need to... consummate the relationship. I’m not blue balling for years without some satisfaction. I won’t be catfished by Ford.
You have a very weird relationship with your vehicles. Also, this is disgusting.

That's a good question. I imagine that there are both State and dealership issues that will determine the answer. Additionally, your form of payment could play a role. I'm guessing that some States would require that your deposit be refunded if you vehicle hasn't been built and the dealership cannot provide a reasonable promise of a delivery time. Also, your dealer may be fine returning your deposit and talking the vehicle into inventory. These things will likely be hard to come by for a while. And finally, I have had tremendous success with my CC company over the years handling disputes. Good luck whatever your decision.

In for a penny in for a pound I'll wait as long as I have to wait to get my Bronco. The only thing that will cause a problem with this is in 2005 I bought the brand new convertible GT Mustang the first day it was available and had the first one in Las Vegas for several months and I placed a cash deposit with Friendly Ford on the GT500 and was given a price a 56k and when the first one was available they told me it was going to be 75 k because they could sell them to any dealer across the country for that all day and it didn't matter that they quoted me a price and that this is what the market price was. That is my only fear.

I was thinking about that at first but I have seen so many horrible reviews on the car. Not to mention the maintenance costs
I saw a Defender 90 at Calgary’s YYC. It is one Gorgeous POS, and just goes to show why you should never judge a book by it’s cover. You watch those TFL off road reviews? They went through 3 Defenders just trying to test them out on the trails. Total crap.

12:25 Mark: “hold on dad, hold on dad. Get your camera on that. I got a warning message. “Ok to drive with caution: suspension fault detected.” Uhhh, lemme try to turn the Defender on and off again.” - head smack.

You can definitely custom order a Defender. Delivery is running 3ish months at the moment.

I want to say I'm in for the long haul...but the idea of having to wait another year really has me thinking. Spent the last 2 days re-reviewing Rubicon's but there is always something that comes up making me realize the Bronco is such a better choice.

If only I had an off road vehicle to tie me over. I need to buy something that I won't take a big hit on selling it later and doesn't require a ton of $ to keep running in between.
Look for a '94 - '97 NAS Defender 90. Easy to work on, and going up in value. As long as you do not buy pay for more than it is actually worth, you can sell it again easily.

Please cancel. The more of you that cancel the closer I get...
Unfortunately for those of us who are in this for the long haul, cancellations, in my estimation, are not going to move us up! There is no way in hell a dealership is going to lose that build! That build will still happen, it's just going to be sold to someone else! This is where that 20% allowance will come into play!

I cannot flat tow a Toyota Tacoma or 4 runner and I have never been excited about a Jeep and we are on schedule to leave the work force to begin traveling the U.S. in a Motorhome the first quarter of 2022. I’m all in even though it is frustrating.

I currently have a 4Runner and the vehicle has been flawless. If Toyota is paying attention to the Bronco it would behove Toyota to mimic the Lux package of the Bronco and then add Lockers and Sway Bar disconnect I think they'd create all sorts of problems for the Bronco. I'm still all in on the Bronco reservation within the first 6 hours...just hope I don't get forced to make a decision. Also I've owned sever Jeep's over the years...you just never know what could happen...if this drags on....

I've been debating between the 4runner and the Bronco. If Toyota added front locker to go with the rear, a LUX package equivalent, sway bar disconnect, and added some power and MPG It would be a lot harder choice in favor of the 4Runner.
