John, any word on if the dealership will have the Stephens Auto Center sticker (your profile picture) for us to put on our rear glass as we leave the dealership? I'd proudly rock one of those. @StephensAutoCenter

Said it before and will say it again, allotment makes no sense. Ford shit the bed.
I have money for your bronco, I converted my order and I have a day 1 reservation, I should get mine prior to some dude with a day 3 revelation regardless of dealer or state. Massive hate.
As someone with a day three res I agree with you, because I want mine in order too. Seen a number of people with other dealers and much later reservations who will be getting a MY 21 while I am probably getting a MY22

I understand modification to the res order fulfilment based on transportation grouping and build grouping (whatever the official term for that would be) but dealers getting a larger allotment because they sell lots of cars in general doesn't fall into the way they initially led us to believe the orders would be fulfilled. I'll still be waiting and hoping things work out better than it looks like it will though, and taking solace in the fact if I do end up with a MY22 I'll have more options, and hopefully all the ones I have now will still be available.

You're right...with the estimates of 60,000 Broncos built in 21, it should be higher than that. Maybe Ford was super conservative in what they could build and will add allocations as production goes up.
Maybe they have learned from their fiasco of a launch and are under-promising to overdeliver ? 🤣 🤣 🤣 sorry, I couldn't get through that with a straight face.

My issue is Ford lets reservationists choose any dealer they want. Some people live in small rural counties with a single Ford dealership, yet most the the dealer's allocation are to people outside the locality who chase a better deal.
The only power the buyer has is the ability to pick their own dealership. Do you understand what would happen if you couldn't do that?

Yes, people who are local to the dealership get screwed. If the allocation algorithm factored in location relative to the dealership, then I have no issue.

People from non-rural areas have multiple Ford dealerships to choose from, residents in rural areas don't..
I understand where you are coming from but you are only looking at and obviously only care about your own circumstance. It also seems you don't care or have thought about how it effects your local dealership if they aren't able to get reservations from outside of their area. Stephen's didn't do this just to help the buyer, it helps them also. My local dealership had only 3 allocations and I would have been 1 of them because of an early reservation timestamp. They would not budge on price so I transferred to Stephen's.

You had the same opportunity to get an early reservation as I did and more than likely have the same opportunity to shop your business elsewhere if you don't like your local dealership situation.

If you don't like the dealerships near you because they fail to treat customers properly, don't come to my friendly dealership who treats customers right. The small rural dealerships treat their customers right because we are neighbors who run into each other at the store or at church. So basically people from larger metropolitan areas take advantage of dealerships in rural areas because the nature of the relationship is dictated by the athstetic of living in a rural community.
So we shouldn’t support businesses that treat customers fairly? Sorry city slicker, we don’t take kindly to your types out here! Rural areas seem real welcoming...

Sounds reasonable.

Even better if the response is we greatly appreciate your business but please understand regarding the Bronco, our local customers get priority over non-local customers. ;)
Blaming customers for being savvy buyers looking for a deal and honest business to work with is the wrong target. Perhaps the rural, local dealer who attracted out of the area buyers is a better target. Or maybe Ford when they changed to the allocation method instead of time stamps. Playing favorites and being exclusionary isn’t the play.

I wonder what the latest reservation time/date is that still fits SACs allocation of 2021s. It has to still be 7/14 but what time I wonder.

It definitely isn't 7/27, I can tell you that. I'm number 171.
