How involved is replacing a factory seat with an aftermarket? Seems like taking the 4 buckets in a two door and adding these would be a really cool look.

Yea and this is what i don't know - is it a super custom retro fit or are seats generally plug and playNo one knows yet, but I would think it would be similar to any other seat swap in any other car?
The 2 Dr is a 2 +2 - is that a bench as well? The front seats should be fairly straightforward as long as the new seat lines up with the existing hardware. The back seat is a bench stock so it'd definitely be more of a challenge to mount two new buckets there.
I think its a blend. If the brackets/hardware are made specifically for the vehicle its plug and play. Otherwise there might need to be some fabrication of brackets to mate the seat to the floor. I've never personally done a seat swap before so not sure how involved this is. Back seats you can get an idea with how the aftermarket currently does it for Jeep since I think its a similar setup back there.Yea and this is what i don't know - is it a super custom retro fit or are seats generally plug and play
I'd have to look again at pics but I'm pretty sure the rear seat is a single lower cushion. The seat backs are split to fold. I could be wrong. If the lower cushion is split it may be easier and/or less work fabricating mounts to get two new buckets set back there. The 2 Dr is a 2 +2 - is that a bench as well?
Does the Bronco have airbags in the seat? Does not fair well for the "configure" it yourself for 4600 racing - does it?Airbags will be the tricky part. You would need to fool the Bronco into thinking they were still there.
They make modules for that ...Airbags will be the tricky part. You would need to fool the Bronco into thinking they were still there.
For some reason I thought the airbags were in the trim along the roll cage (and not in the seats).Does the Bronco have airbags in the seat? Does not fair well for the "configure" it yourself for 4600 racing - does it?
