Thats what I am doing. So far the Granger crew has been great with communication. I will chill out and wait for Granger, they already contacted me once via email to verify my contact info.

This buying experience with Granger is changing the way I will buy cars in the future. Open and honest communication plus a fair price. I am willing to travel to get those 2 things.
Absolutely Harry. I drove 435 miles to get my last plastic GM car just for that reason. Up front, and honest with no BS.

I flew to NJ and drove home when I bought my used FJ Cruiser. I don’t remember the name of the place, but they moved a lot of vehicles. Good prices, good communication, honest service.

Okay, I have to finally chime in.

Im confused why you think all the statements are in conflict or mutually exclusive... and why you’re being so aggressive about it.

Wouldn’t the following scenario cover everything we’ve heard, without anyone having to be lying or speaking in riddles?

Ford to dealers: “Hi guys, we can’t tell you how to do business, but considering how easy it was to make a reservation and the penalties you’ll incur for cancelations, you should require an additional deposit. In our experience $500 is a suitable amount.”

Ford to customers: “Hi everyone, you shouldn’t be surprised if and when your dealership requires an additional deposit”

Dealer A to customers: “Hi, Ford is requiring us to take an additional deposit”

Dealer B to customers: “Hi, Ford is not requiring us to take an additional deposit”

Dealer C to customers: “Hi, Ford suggested we take an additional deposit.”

Damn dude go drink a cup of coffee and chill the hell out...no one on this thread has taken information from Granger or Albert quite the way you did, so maybe look in the mirror and realize your being a little uptight..

I got emails from Grainger and replied. I'm wondering if I should have seen some kind of follow up or not until after the order window opens?

Just hang tight Mike. I'm sure Albert @Granger Ford has everything under control, and will get back to us when it's our turn.

How will you handle long-distance deliveries of vehicles that include both tops (hard and soft), the bimini top, the tube doors, and whatever other accessories customers decide to order? You probably can't just dunp everything in the Bronco and send it on its way. So, what happens with all the stuff that simply won't fit? Is it shipped separately? I can see some crazy costs happening, if you have to ship a couple (or several) large items, in addition to shipping the Bronco.

If you require shipping then I would suspect that the whole shebang gets shipped at once from Granger to wherever your target is. They use a third party to ship so there is a separate cost.

Still waiting for the mothership (FoMoCo) to put out any kind of information that I can sink my teeth into...

I know that the Jeeps come with both tops installed, do not know if that is a Jeep only thing, we will cross that bridge when it presents itself...
