Any updates? Back in June, I converted my reservation to an order and haven't heard anything. Emailed John about a week ago, but haven't gotten anything back.

I placed my order in July and was about 20 on the list. I know orders have been filled. John estimated mine would be ready around late October. I don't expect to see it until sometime next year.

I checked my email. I actually ordered it in early March. ( Order 4215/1874 Bronco )So I guess I'd be a little before you. I thought he said it would be ready by August. I guess we will see.

I will. Are you having yours delivered or are you driving up to get it?

Any updates? Haven't been able to get in touch with John through email or phone since mid August in regards to my order. Anyone have any contact with him lately?

I heard from him a few weeks back - it's sounding like there are more delays. Based on what he's told me it sounded like he won't be delivering the tops for a few months. I suspect he's trying to move things into the USA to reduce costs due to tariffs.

He also told me he was going to be stopping taking new orders on the website. I haven't checked if the order form was taken down.

Im keeping my reservation, but I've started building out a camping setup with a roof top tent for the time being. I dont expect to get my top until mid/late next year.

My last update in August was installation at Thanksgiving which has come and gone.
Anyone else get theirs installed or receive any updates whatsoever?

How are those that have one? Any issues? How is the post-sale support?

Is he still trying to move production of the shell to US? Email takes many many tries over a few months to never get update on timing, phone goes straight to voicemail since August and leave messages but never ever get a call back.

I believe in John and his stellar product but he needs to hire some quality help to get these to customers--the whole skeleton crew thing is absolutely NOT working.

This is my understanding as well. Last I heard from John it was a compounding of: his move to Oregon, Tariffs, finding qualified laborers in Oregon, and issues with the quality of the molds.
He also let me know that he's already been making changes to the design since the first two initial examples have been made.

I decided back in November to not wait any longer and built out a RTT build, but am still keeping my reservation for whenever that becomes a reality.

I originally thought Cliff White's Ursa Minor was the second delivery. Cliff has stated it was the third.

I was in communication with John in December and he said he was still delivering them but at a much slower pace than he wanted due to availability of parts and getting some new assembly hires.

It seems there was a slow down initially during training of the new hires but will eventually improve delivery. Hopefully, availability of parts will improve too.

Yes, I do believe that my build was the third. I really like the design and think it is very well built. Heading out to Anza Borrego next week.

Thank you for the updates 4wJive, flashpunk, and gbub! Looking great Cliff White!

The wait is absolutely painful. For such a steep investment I can't help but think about the amortization of the initial cost/investment of the Ursa Minor over my years of ownership with the Bronco. With its continued delay since my Bronco delivery in August 2023 with the plan of an Ursa Minor since its day-one reservation (just rumors & a lot of hope at the time based on the JKU & JLU), it becomes harder to justify the steep initial cost and having to use temporary solutions in the meantime rather than investing heavily into another robust quality solution. Having said that, unfortunately nothing competes with the unique hardtop replacement solution with interior entry and ability to stand up in my rig. To me RTT has two major drawbacks, increase in center of gravity and not integrating the Bronco's interior space with the sleeping quarters via the pass-through (as well as exterior entry).

Too bad there isn't an alternate design that removes the front two hardtop panels and preserves the remainder of the OEM hardtop.
