This right here, after a bad experience with ko2s C rated, my next option was a set or Toyo Open Country RT Trails D rated. The ride did not get harsh at all and road handling feels a lot more confident around a dry corner.
But my Lord is my mileage taking a beating on the D rated Kenda Klevers I recently got.

Hey what are some 33 or 35 inch tire brands you guys would suggest ? And what are some to definitely stay away from?
Pizza Cutters or typical / predictable fat as possible?

What size? I have the 35 10.50 17 Kenda Klevers and my mileage went down less than 1/2 mpg vs the stock Badlands KO2

I did swap to way lighter wheels compared to the factory SAS wheels. Just about canceled out the weight difference of my D rated Toyos. MPGs so far have held on lol

Huh what were you getting before?

I was on black diamond stock general grabbers and have a 2.3

Was around 19 now showing closer to 16.3

I didn't adjust my speedo so the calc will be a bit off from that but nothing crazy (I assume)

Just bought 5 Fortune Tormenta RT made in Thailand in 285 70 17 for $150 a tire mounted at my local cheap tire guy. Pretty impressed in our first rain and they are quiet till about 85mph. They are a 1/4" shorter than a Mickey or Falken tire. 1 tire took a lot of weight but the rest balanced out nicely. Can't make comment about mpg, didn't run the stock more than a 100 miles.

I have 2.3 with Ford Tune. I was getting 18.5 , now a little over 18. I drive pretty easy. Will see 16 or so between AZ and California but that is running 85 plus

Yokohama A/D XT's - 10ply - they are the bomb. 2.3/FP tune/manual. Have them on my 2.3/10spd auto Tremor Ranger as well.

Another consideration is whether you want a Three Peaks rated (3PMSF) tire for its winter safety and performance. Not all tires mentioned in this thread have that rating. The KO3s, Mickey Thompson Baja Boss, and Wildpeaks do.

Did your tire guy break it back down and rotate 180 on the wheel?

"And the Baja Boss ATs are built on the heavier duty MT carcess.

I am pretty happy with the ones I have on my F350.
