I can promise you Dearborn is well aware of things that go on with this forum...but I don't think we'll hear many more announcements from them.....except about plan pricing maybe. That's my guess.

So true! Like when they say, "We're listening." For some reason, a lot of people take that to mean, "We're listening to you."It only takes one person to interpret a simple statement differently than the plain English meaning and it is avalanche of anguish time.

100%,We all need to be better readers!
We will turn in all orders, either before the window closes or after if that's when the customer gets us the information. And to answer the question about the 150, yes, they will decide based on timestamp or commodities I'm sure.Kris...a follow-up allocation question please, hypothetical numbers:
Sometime in January, the order window closes. At that time, your dealership will not know your initial allocation number from Ford.
So, will your dealership allow ALL of your existing reservation holders to execute orders if they wish? AND, will you turn ALL those orders into Ford?
So...let's say you turn in 200 orders, but in February Ford advises you your initial allocation is only 150. Will it be up to Ford to decide which 150 of your submitted orders are built in your initial allocation?
So you are telling me that it is possible that a person who reserved a Bronco in July, and ordered one on the first day of ordering, will have to be told by the dealer which they ordered it through, that "Sorry, our dealership wasnt big enough to get your order filled so you are SOL." Basically, your order is worthless and you have to wait until 2022?We will turn in all orders, either before the window closes or after if that's when the customer gets us the information. And to answer the question about the 150, yes, they will decide based on timestamp or commodities I'm sure.
That's actually a great question and another one that is simply going to be impossible for us to communicate with our customers. I don't think there's any way for us to know which of those 150 get picked until the orders get scheduled and assigned a vin #. Maybe when the 40-50 day window closes and they prioritize the orders, they give us the customer list that's going to get built, but somehow I don't see that happening.
I really wish this had been handled a different way.![]()
I'd say anyone that first week should feel very safe regardless of dealer size. I think the further the date out progresses, then the dealer size starts to matter. So you are telling me that it is possible that a person who reserved a Bronco in July, and ordered one on the first day of ordering, will have to be told by the dealer which they ordered it through, that "Sorry, our dealership wasnt big enough to get your order filled so you are SOL." LOL thats probably about right for granger given this forumNow if 1000 people with first week reservations all transferred to one dealer, then I'd be worried.
No comment. ?LOL thats probably about right for granger given this forum
But what if you are 499 out of the 1000 ? sill good?
I would think you’re good at Granger, based on their brilliant October surprise. That should weight the 50% per of the formula enough in their favor for their top half to get orders in early.LOL thats probably about right for granger given this forum

Do you think a dealer is going to get 500 Broncos?Ford told their dealers they weren’t doing that anymore and would allocate a certain number to each dealer FOR RESERVATIONS that convert to orders. So, the timestamp on a reservation may be impactful if it places you in the

Do you think Ford will change the allocation system AGAIN to pacify the bigger dealers?Do you think a dealer is going to get 500 Broncos?
I don't know what Ford is going to do, I just don't think anyone is getting 500 broncos.Do you think Ford will change the allocation system AGAIN to pacify the bigger dealers?
If not, then yes.
