I’m sure you and the other dealers told Ford about the GOOD dealers (Granger and Stephens) offering good deals because it hurts your market share.
if Ford doesn’t offer X-Plan it is going to be a huge incentive for even more folks to transfer to the GOOD dealers.
I hope this backfires on the large, business as usual dealerships!
You know, I don't believe this affects Granger at all. In fact, it may benefit the dealers doing below invoice pricing.

The Granger offer was $1000 below invoice. $1300 below invoice if you are x-plan eligible. I haven't seen anything that said they were running this as an x-plan deal.

The new offer is $2000 below invoice whether you have x-plan or not. If Ford is dumb enough to ditch any of the alphabet plans, Granger and Stephens will get a ton more business.

Bronco is a mass produced vehicle. Ford does not honor x plan on specialty/limited edition vehicles. For instance, first edition might not get X-plan. Mike Levine, has stated on twitter multiple times it is available for X-plan and has even offered enthusiasts x-plan pins if they were unable to get one. Ive seen it with my own eyes. Could this change? Sure. But I highly highly doubt it.
The fiesta s was not eligible for Xplan , it wasn't a limited edition. Ford is going through a major corporate shake up, so it's possible that in that process it's changed.

Per my dealer they only need the x plan pin at delivery.
that I knew I just wanted to know how long it takes to get from the shareholder people and then how long it's good for. You'll have yours way before I have mine so I may have to swing by and drill on yours

True. But are we really comparing one of Ford's halo vehicles to the Fiesta S? How many Fiesta S were sold? Ford has us where they want us at the moment. Jeep is scrambling to try and remain ultra competitive. Ford now stating that their newest/hottest vehicle is not available for plan pricing would be an absolute ball drop.

I see no reason to be concerned at this time. We've all seen the Tweets from Levine stating the Bronco will be eligible. You're going to continue to hear "we don't know" and "not available" from most people affiliated with Ford for the simple reason that nothing official has been released stating X-plan (or A/Z) pricing for the Bronco. That's not unusual. Detailed pricing hasn't been released, and it's not in the ordering system yet.

There is always an outside chance that Ford could suddenly reverse course, but at this point I would say that's unlikely. There is no credible right now information pointing to a sudden change. Even if it did, there's no point in freaking out now over an outside possibility. If you must, there will be plenty of time to panic when reliable and official information comes out.

Relax.

So I emailed the x-plan folks about how long it takes to get the pin and how long it's good for. The replied with this.

It's possible that they just haven't made it official yet so grain of salt

I contacted Capital Ford in Carson City NV where my res is and they said they are pricing at MSRP, no X-Plan. Just starting to research dealers in the NorCal/NV area who might be honoring discounted pricing but just an FYI. Any others looking for NorCal/Western NV Ford dealers with great pricing?

Yeah pretty much the only reason I would buy local is if the x-plan was available. Pretty sure no one else is going to do invoice, so best you can expect is MSRP, which means several thousand dollars more than what Granger would provide. I would say dealers are shooting themselves in the foot by screwing consumers like this, but probably 90% of reservation holders aren't aware of the Granger/Stephens deal, so won't care.

Granger/Stephens and Krispy have been great on this forum, but the recent revelations about dealers actively campaigning with Ford to make this vehicle more expensive for consumers is a pretty good argument in favor of the direct sales model.

Yes...this is usually when you get your PIN. Just before delivery. I have bought several cars on X Plan. I am eligible for most plans with other car manufacturers too. A perk of being a railroad family.

No. XPlan is 1% over invoice. Granger is offering $1300 under invoice.
fordpartner.com says the formula is "Dealer Invoice - (0.4% * Dealer Invoice) + Administration Fee* (see sample invoice)" with the * being $275

It was a volume seller it's a fair comparison for Xplan purpose.

I hope it's a case of I read to deep into an email that didn't give a lot of information. That's why I said wait until they reply with clarification before locking or merging the thread. I also said in the OP to take it with a grain of salt and said "may not". I wanted to share information not rustle jimmies.

By the way this is from ford corp so they would probably know before the dealerships do. Mike would probably be before them.

The dealer I am working with estimated 1% over invoice would be X Plan.

In my experience X Plan can vary..it is usually just a little above invoice.

The Granger deal is 1300 under invoice.
