Well, I guess it is settled…I must be old and cranky too cuz I 100% agree with ya on this.
Than as I suggested, start a company, stay in business for ten years, make everything in the USA and fend off cheap junk from China. Then you will understand what it takes.

I still would not change a thing if I started over! Quality does not come cheap!

Was truly not meant as an attack on your product, company, or the work your employees do. Sounds like it comes down to a lot of overhead that adds up to an expensive product. Thanks for the explanation.

For those flaming me... watch this.... I've been schooled. See how that works? I raised what I thought was a valid point, stated my case, was explained (politely) why I was wrong, and have admitted I was wrong. If only that were the case for many other forums out there.
Thank you for your comments. All feedback is important so keep it coming it helps us be a better company.

If I can ever be of assistance let me know.

Now if you can confirm it works with an AC (Anderson Composite hard top, I will gladly buy one from you. Mind you, the AC top is exactly like the OEM. I emailed your website and they had no clue.

Many folks see a simple 2 + 2 = 4 and anything beyond that their getting the shaft.
25 years in business myself there are so many things beyond raw material costs none business minded folks don’t see or even know exist.
Raw materials, money cost to by materials, infrastructure costs, equipment loans or purchase, labor cost including sick time, vacation payroll taxes, workman comp etc,
State and federal taxes, waste, testing. Overhead costs that keeps the lights on, things you have to pay whether you make money or not, aka fixed costs. Marketing and sales costs, advertising, websites, samples and shows.
Heaven forbid you add a markup to make at little for a rainy day or to expand or even make a little for your efforts.
Many don’t see why the people or companies risking their savings, home and livelihood should make any money.
Employees greatly have this attitude but so does the common consumer.
Maybe someday UNICEF will get into my business and many others including tops but until then companies have to make money or they flat won’t exist.
Those willing to take a risk should get a reward, after all it’s their butt on the line at the end of every day when everyone else goes home.
Be American, buy American!

Interesting evaluation, here are a few things that might have been overlooked

First our product cost way more than $100 to make. We manufacture a high quality products here in the USA and pay our employees a livable wage. Each shade can take up to 3 hours to make depending on the model and prints can take longer.

Plus we don't make a simple cheap bungee shade, we make an engineered solution backed up by top notch customer service.

Oh the Ford royalties...all I will say is your way off!

Then we have the issue of the rent for a large infrastructure required to house manufacturing. We also have the cost of all sorts of equipment including 8 professional computerized sewing stations, a large format digital cutter, embroidery equipment, packing and shipping stations. The printer alone cost over $200,000.00, it's a 2020 VUTEk wide format LED commercial printer that don't come cheap. A large space is required to store materials and inventory. Then to top it all off we have to insure everything and carry product liability Insurance.

Selling more at a cheaper price sounds good but we sell to a limited market. There are a finite number of Broncos and Jeeps. Plus the product would have to use lower quality materials to reduce cost. We learned early its not wise to race to the bottom and sell an inferior product. You can find all sorts of cheap Chinese bungee tops on Amazon if that's what you're looking for.

So by the time we are done we only wish we could make $275 a shade. If we did I could have an assistant answer this and I would not have to work 7 days a week.

But I will say the last 10 years we have been in business has truly been an incredible journey and I would not trade the experience for anything!

Not to mention the top-notch customer service from @JTopsUSA !
Things like shipping out replacement velcro to your customers when they botch the (simple) install the first time, cuts into profit, but builds brand loyalty.

It should work fine. If it does not work we can take it back and work together to alter it.

I have a Jtop for my 4 door bronco and it is amazing! Love that I can leave it on with my hard top. Best purchase so far for me.

Mike, no Texas Flag with Bronco logo? Maybe Gina can make a "Come and Take It" Bronco flag JTop?
Thank you for the impending argument I get to have with my wife where I explain I need to replace my tan JTops that is perfectly great with a new Bronco JTops.

@Shawntrex , uggg, that is not how the internet works. You don't rationally listen to other people's points of view and accept that you may be incorrect or invite more rational debate. I will double down that the moon is actually a giant onion while daring you to sharpen your pitchfork. But, I guess credit where credit is due.

Hey sorry but unfortunately no logo on the Texas flag. We may do one in the future but don’t have it in the current mix. It’s hard to do everything so we started with the two most popular.
Remember happy wife, happy life!
