It will be interesting how they handle logistics....Stephen’s is going to have to rent parking lot space somewhere and hire extra staff to handle it....and I would think the number of order is still going to go way up for them from here.

We handle the highest volume of fleet vehicle sales in the State pretty much. Although our lot is small, our fleet manager is efficient. And, if something were to happen and we didn't have enough space, we would rent a parking lot to make-do for the time we're overloaded :)

There's also our "back lot", which is an off-road adventure all it's own. We have plenty of parking for 4x4's on the mountain behind our dealership.

We're going to work with the Hatfield McCoy Trails (trailsheaven.com) and try to setup some sort of "ride" for new owners. More to come on this.

Hi John, I am currently torn between shipping to NY, or making a vacation out of it with my son and doing some camping, off-roading and whitewater rafting while down there picking up the truck (honestly, the road trip sounds better to me). My question is, how far in advance would I know when the Bronco would be delivered (typically)? I would obviously want to be sure it was delivered before making the 8+ hour trip, how long could I leave the truck before picking it up (obviously I would want to get there ASAP, but scheduling time off work is the issue, is a week or 2 a huge deal to keep a truck on your lot? How long do you give customers to pick up the vehicle after delivery? Thanks in advance for the info, just trying to get an idea of how much flexibility is available on the pickup schedule.

I keep going back and forth thread to thread. to compare. Is this essentially the same offer Granger has? If not what's the difference?

We're hoping to know of build dates about 60 days out and our fleet manager should be able to give us a general idea on what to expect for the actual delivery dates around 30 days out, depending on how deliveries are going otherwise.

Our offers are very similar. There's some minor differences, doc fees, and how we're handling deliveries, along with travel times, etc. but essentially, the deals are very close in comparison.

Another unresponsive local dealer, another switched reservation to Stephens.

The guys at Ford know Stephens well from all the transfer requests. Logistically, I wonder what the impacts are to getting all those Broncos shipped to WV... Ford might be able to streamline things a bit to ship to some of these big dealers.
Seems like there are quite a few of us coming to WV from NC. I'm in.

Thanks, and once the truck arrives on your lot, how long would I have for pickup (a day, a week, etc, I am not trying to pin you down on an exact time frame, but rather just get a general sense of whether there is flexibility on pickup date since a road trip from NY would require some scheduling to make it happen, although it sounds like at 30 days prior you should have a pretty good idea when it will arrive. Let me know. Thanks!

John- Curious if your GM has been surprised / pleased with the number of additional reservations since the decision was made to be more aggressive with pricing?

I hope that is the case!

Of course we want to move the vehicles out as quickly as possible, however, there shouldn't be any problems keeping it on the lot for a couple of weeks.

Just made the switch via Ford's 1-800-334-4375 number. The representative was very nice and the process was quick and simple. She said that they were getting "quite a few" reservation changes to Stephens, and that "you know they must be doing something right." I absolutely agree!
