Thankfully I can stop checking the rail trackers!Tracking with the CSX automated phone system, mine has fortunately been making it's way to the West Coast in a pretty timely manner.
As of calling right now CSX says it's somewhere in Nevada. So just one state away.
I've been trying to call the Union Pacific automated system for a week since that will give the ETA, but the voice recognition is so terrible and never gets my voice entry correct for the letters. Tried on speaker, off speaker, on headset. No dice...
Me: CTTX
Automated Phone: "I heard CCBX. I can't find that car. Please say....."
Me: CTTX
Automated Phone: "I heard CCTX. I can't find that car. Please say....."
Me:*hangs up*
It was delivered at the Mira Loma rail yard two days ago and yesterday reported with a status of “Empty. Has been released by the customer” which should mean it’s been unloaded from the rail car and is ready for pickup by the transport company which luckily doesn’t need to go very far to the dealer.
Hoping I’ll get a text or call or Ford status update email saying it’s arrived at the dealer soon
