Why would we be at the front of any line? That’s not a thing. We aren’t on any special list or know anyone at ford. We’ve just ordered from multiple dealers and have people who ordered who want to flip their Braptor and we’re paying them for it. We haven’t lost credibility to anyone who matters, cheers

The Subaru comment was ment to be offensive. Come on man, you do some pretty hard-core off-roading and know exactly how much less caplible AWD cars are vs lifted vehicles with 35s and lockers. An Outback is the Prius of the 4x4 world, you knew exactly where that blow was going to land. It's more insulting to play it off like you didn't mean it that way.

And by jumping the line I meant using your YouTube fame to talk a dealer or someone else out of their B-Raptor allocation. There are people with early reservations that waited 2+ years to get the Bronco they ordered.

Didn’t say people who watch don’t matter. I said we didn’t lose any credibility. The comment was funny. You sound like someone who gets mad at a comedy show if the comedian says something offensive. Either way we will be ok. We’ve worked out butts off to be where we are. A few people who get mad over some statement aren’t going to change the course of our life. Those people definitely deserve their vehicle but also we’re willing to pay people way over Msrp for their allocation which they have decided to take the money. That is their choice. We make our living on vehicles so we will of course do what we need to get a new vehicle we want and like. Watch or don’t watch. Like us or hate us, we’re going to continue to do what we need to do to make a living at this since we gave up our whole life to do this. Making a few dozen or hundred or even thousand people mad isn’t going to change our vision and goal of our lives.

The problem is you guys are taking the Subaru comment way too personal and taking it wrong. The meaning behind it is that the Subaru drives like a car, has room is comfy and can take people Offroad (ish) the next logical step wouldn’t be to go to a jeep that drives like crap on road at high speeds and has death wobble potential issues among other typical jeep issues and has less room than a jeep. The next logical step is a bronco. It’s much much more capable. Still drives like a car, way more roomy than a jeep and fits the bill way better for most people. We’ve even had a dozen or more comments about how that’s exactly what people have done and the exact reasons so quit being so butthurt over someone opinion and observation that isn’t far off from my person point of view.

Butthurt is all some of us have since we’re still waiting for our loaded Broncos.

Also there’s no other way to take the Subaru comment. It says Subaru -> Bronco -> Wrangler whereas most people see Bronco equal to or better than the Wrangler. Most people being those on a… Bronco forum.

I enjoy their content and watch their channel and knew it wouldn't last very long. They are that extreme 1% of folks who want to take their stuff up crazy lines. That was never going to be a Bronco. I thought maybe they would just make a desert runner out of it, which it would excel in, but that didn't happen. They are not completely wrong about the fit and finish, but I think it they are overblowing it somewhat to justify their decision to themselves. In one of the comments they indicated they may be getting a Bronco Raptor which would be cool, but hopefully they run the desert with it or we will back back to the cup-holder drama.

As for the Subaru reference, this is how I think they stack up in terms of capability and why you would buy each (no idea if these lines will never work!):

Dotted line for the Jeep because I would only ever buy a jeep for the extreme end. Never in a million years as a daily/weekend warrior vehicle over the Bronco doing moderate trails.

I would even out the bronco Jeep line, especially going stock to stock. And honestly I’ve done some crazy shit in my outback’s that one of their wilderness models would be able to go above and beyond.

I was a car dealer for over 30 years. I have owned over 50 personal vehicles including 3 Broncos (77, 94 and 96) and 3 Jeeps (85, 90 and 05) not to mention all the ones I took off the lot and drove. The current generation Bronco is the same as it has always been. It was never a hard core, off road only vehicle. Even the early ones. The last generation was good off road but equally at home on the road and could be dressed up with luxury packages same as now. The Jeeps on the other hand besides being horrible for reliability were exactly the opposite. Crap on the road, go most places off road and broke down often. If you bought a Bronco expecting a Jeep that was a mistake so go trade it on a POS Jeep. I've had my 2021 BB for a while now and love it. I would take it over any 2 Wranglers. It's good on the road and equally good for normal off roading just like the original. As far as build quality goes mine is great. No rattles, the panels line up nicely, it tracks like it's on rails and the 2.7 has plenty of power and gets 21.6 MPG. If you rushed to get a soft top well that's a problem. My Jeeps were all soft tops and I always hated them. Water leaks, condensation (rusted windshield frames sound familiar?), wind noise, cold in winter, hot in summer and yep, when it snowed outside it snowed inside. Sound familiar? My 85 CJ went through 3 transmissions, you couldn't hear the person next to you on the highway had a crap heater, random engine vacuum leaks etc, etc, etc. The 2005 was always dealer serviced and even then I replaced the radiator, transfer case, transmission, some stupid wire link to the starter that stranded me in a parking lot the first week and on and on. The radio? I replaced the entire sound system with high end goods from Crutchfield and there was still no way to make it sound good. It got horrible gas mileage to boot. There is a reason most automotive blogs and testing companies rate Jeep as a bad vehicle. Thanks but no thanks.

FWIW, I watched this last night and basically agreed with all their points. As a previous Subaru owner, the exact reason I migrated up the capability chain is because I reached the limits of what a Subaru can do offroad. I think LB is spot on in saying the Bronco takes over where a Subaru hits its limit, but a Wrangler can then take over where a Bronco hits its limit. Nothing offensive about that. It's exactly right. For 90% of offroading, the Bronco is more than capable. For that top 10% of hardcore rock-crawling, having a built Wrangler with a solid front axle would be better. That 'good enough for 90% of offroading but still comfortable on road' quality is the primary reason why I really like the Bronco and still hope that Ford might actually one day build the one I reserved in July 2020... It's an obvious next step up for us Subaru folks, but I can see how it'd be considered a downgrade for certain Wrangler bros.

Complaints are good and people should be expressing them. There are a lot of things Ford could have and should have done better with the Bronco.

That being said, this LiteBrite video was more of an assassination attempt. Dude said the Bronco is one step up from a Subaru Outback suited for only light off-roading. Completely wrong. I think their first Bronco video was with Loren Healy on the Rubicon trail, NOT NOT NOT light off-roading.

Exactly. Total assassination attempt. I have zero problem with complaining about lack of cup holders, AC in the rear, speaks and rattles, not liking the grab handles whatever. Perfectly normal review critiques. But when you start trashing it to the point of saying ridiculous stuff like it's only one step above a Subaru then you literally went full biased attack mode..

Show me a Subaru Outback tackling the Rubicon trail with ease with minor bolt on Mods. Please. GTFO.

I have no issues with their opinions - they're true with the exception of one thing. They broad stroke the Jeep as the more hard core off road machine, and in my opinion this is ONLY true if you buy a Rubicon and wheel it on a 7+ rated trail at max send.

The bronco is in fact a better off road machine than any non Rubicon factory Jeep, if you spec it with a rear locker. You can't even get a locker from the factory in any Jeep model other than the Rubicon. All the other wranglers come with a Dana 30 up front, and you have to spec the clutch pack LSD in the back to get a Dana 44 back there.

If I was to build a rock crawler, I would start with a wrangler. They're plentiful and have ideal components already installed. As for moderate trail rig, the Bronco wins hands down on styling alone. Add in on-road handling and you have icing on the cake.

I have no problems with your critiques about the interior. Lack of AC in the rear, weak windshield, speaks and rattles, don't like the grab handles ect ect. But when you compare a Bronco to Subaru saying it's one step above that's when your credibility comes into question. When is the last time a Subaru did the Rubicon trail with no issues with minor bolt on Mods?

When you say you're affraid to wheel it as hard as your stock Wrangler because it might eventually break again that's when your credibility comes into question. You have a mechanic that lives with you. That's literally what your channel is about. Wheel hard, break, then fix then do it again. Also what happened to making it a dedicated desert runner? Wasn't that the plan anyway?

I don't know. I'm a subscriber and I watch on a regular basis but this definitely came across as biased. Sorry that's just my opinion.

By the way I own both a Jeep Xtreme Recon and Bronco Sasquatch. So I'm not a hardcore biased Bronco fan either.
