🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

For those of you waiting on convoy shipping, I knew there were some delays due to shortage of truck drivers, but didn't realize it was to the extent I'm reading here. For those of you waiting, I was on the 2/7 build group and I was the very last person to receive my vehicle so I completely empathize.

That's why I started coming to this forum; there wasn't anyone left in mine. For what it's worth, this is a much more chatty group than the 2/7 group. I was there waiting for my vehicle only a few weeks ago. It's mixed emotions every time someone posts they've received their vehicle. On one hand you're happy for them and on the other you're cursing b/c you haven't gotten yours. All I can say is hang in there and stay on this forum. I found it very helpful. That is part of the reason I still frequently come to this page. Paying forward for those that answered my questions and helped me through the frustration.

@mpmcgaughey you're a good man Charlie Brown. I loved that someone found a link to be able to see what your railcar looks like once you know the rail car number. It took a full 7 to 9 days before I had mine. But then again I had my Bronco for ~3 days before it updated in the trackers as shipped. LOL.

Awesome thanks, so far I'm going on I think day 7 of ownership with no points to show for it.

Two days. Took delivery on 4/27 and they showed up on 4/29.

@Cysquatch very nice! I'm looking into bimini tops right now. Which one did you go with? Why did you pick that one?

Update on the Bimini mesh top. After having it on for a few days, its not performing as well as expected. Not sure what my recourse is since I ordered it with the vehicle. Can I return it for a refund? Credit? Points?

I've cinched this bad boy down a much as possible (all 8 straps) and this thing still flaps like crazy at 45+mph. Even with the crossbar, the sides open up pretty good at speed. Don't get me wrong, this is still a decent option for offroad but at highway speeds? Yikes.

I'm now looking at @JTopsUSA offerings. I like the use of their magnets (12 i think) compared to the useless two on the bestop. And you can use your own (non-copywrited) graphics if you want. They also have a video with their top at 85+mph. Holds up pretty damn well.

Anyone of the other 3/14'ers with shades wanna chime in?

This Mike at JTops, thanks for the mention. We are always here to help with questions. Magnets... yes there are actually 18 and they are commercial grade N48 neodymium with a pulling force of 12 LBS each. Going 85+mph is not easy with a mesh shade, unless you put some thought into it!
We are getting great customer feedback now that customers are installing them.
