I am a native Texan...have traveled lots...this country and those countries....unfortunately....Texas has been a " flee to state" for the last 40 years....but in spite of that...still best damn place I have been.... Viva Tejas....

This. Moving from Ohio (major cities blue, but all else red) to California, I assumed California was blue, through-and-through. I was looking forward to this as a very open-minded (or "liberal" to the people that like blanket labels) person.

I was super surprised to find out California is WAY more red than anyone realizes.

I'm not here to talk politics or talk shit against anyone for their beliefs.

That said... man, the weather here is awesome. Never too hot. Never cold. Humidity rarely jumps over 50%. Coming from Ohio, where it can go from -40 to 120 in the same month, I get where you're coming from. If you can see it in your heart as a nature-lover, you cannot beat California. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My best friend was from Cali, he's as Libertarian as me and my other WoW buddies light Red and moved to the country

I loved SD as well, just hear everyones moving out of there.

So looks like I gotta visit TN, GA, AZ, KY, and while I won't move there, should see my other buddy

Sounds like Wyoming or Montana to me. That’s about all you got haha. Maybe Utah too. I love Colorado but even as a left leaning moderate, I find that it may be swinging far left. And I hate far any direction.

I don't mind moderates, I don't mind having a few brews and debating politics, just don't want to try to debate with someone whose submit or die

All Italians are welcome in Tucson! Millions of people move here from the Midwest and East because of the weather. One of the driest climates in the world, but very hot in the summer. Sure beats the hell out of a Midwest winter (I'm ex-Chicago).

Was thinking more west Texas as well, spent 3 weeks in Brownsville back in '11 and loved it there

Liked Colorado, but it's turning blue from what I hear (this is as political as I'll get here, more I want to be around like minded people is all)

Metro Denver is really the majority of blue in CO.... Plenty of red out East and in the Mtns. But as most have said, shouldn't matter political affiliation, you'll find plenty of people you agree with.

My counties pretty red, just been here my whole life and don't wanna live and die here.

I happen to love New Hampshire and Maine. Spend equal time in both. They are great if you enjoy outdoor sports. The people I encounter are always friendly and helpful. No humidity!

I went to NH years ago, '15 I believe. Definitely was enjoyable there, while my cousin always mentions Arcadia Park up there

If you move to Colorado you can join the rest of your state, so that’s a plus, you’ll feel right at home. You’ll find them driving down the highways doing 100+ or using the median or off roading to pass on the highway. My favorite is using the highway merge lanes to hit 100+ Mph because whatever they’re doing is very important.

Colorado is okay. It’s over crowded now and over priced, traffic sucks and nobody knows how to drive. I-70 and going to the mountains is a waste of time now because you’ll sit in traffic both ways. I’ve lived here 35 years, my entire life, and in the last 10 years I’ve learned to hate it. Lots of natives have moved out because prices and the ones who stayed hate it, It’s quickly becoming calirado.
