No, you're actually right. Navy blue is super close to black. I'd argue Antimatter Blue is closer to Navy than most of the "Navy Pier" interior images we've seen. I mean, as long as we're using proper definitions and all...

That's why Navy and Black don't go together. (Back to my point previously about intentional contrast... because when you look at navy next to black, you can tell they're clearly different and not the same, therefore, do not pair well.)

Lolz at the fact Navy Pier is available on other, lower trims. At least, that's how I remember it... Anyone remember which it was? Outer Banks?

Either way... if this is true, and they open up exterior colors, then I may, in fact, keep my FE. Please, merciful Bronco Lords, let this happen...

We’ve come full circle. That test driver comment came from this forum. There wasn’t any proof of credibility about that guy really knowing a test driver if I recall correctly.

And, so I don't sound like a total shmuck, you can mix any color with any other color and people can like it. There is a strong tie to emotion and color. People love tie-die. And the world still spins.

However, there's a big difference between art and design. And again also design with intention for the medium. That's why there's interior designers, architects, graphic, etc. There's a level of specialization for all forms.

But when it comes to color, especially in this type of functional design for the audience they're targeting, you've gotta remove bias and fall back on unemotional color theory to have the largest, objective matching schemes to appeal to a very large audience. It's why you see so many neutrals in structural design.

Here I go sounding like a douchebag again... just know that I hear you. If you like navy and black together, that's cool. But that's also subjective and biased in this conversation.

This is amazing, I audibly laughed my ass off.

Fun Fact about Gray: You can make grey from mixing any two complimentary colors. Blue/Orange, Red/Green, Black/White, Yellow/Purple...

That's how you get blue gray (Area 51), green gray (Cactus Grey), neutral gray (Carbonized Gray...)

Skew 5% or more in any direction of a mix and bam, you get that tint to your gray.

That said, you still shouldn't mix grays with colors that lack one of their two bases.
