don’t go crazy, really appreciate the info you have. it’s pretty neat to have the inside info like you do. just curious tho, since there’s a parts shortage, they don’t send your family memeber and other workers home? are they expecting parts soon to continue working?

I try.... he used to try and help people locate vehicles and give info himself.. but a lot of very rude nasty people here would message him so he stopped.

The workers in these plants are doing jobs just like the rest of us.

Sadly the few ruin it for the many.

I think we have had a lot of Ford people come and go from these forums for that reason.

Someone tries to help and all they do is get spit on for their troubles.

Most folks have zero clue of the complexity of building a car and think that the car ordering experience is Amazon and works the same way.

I have a vested interest since my truck is due in this cycle for production. So if I can help a few others with insight I will.

All good. Thanks for all your help man. Sounds like your family member could use a drink

Not all jobs are tied directly to production. His is and isn't. When the main system is down they still have vehicles to work on.

Even when the main production system is down there are repairs and other activities going on.

There are people working 7 days a week 12 hours a day in some jobs.

I get it. There's a lot of angry people here, including myself sometimes. But some ignorant people like to blame the people that make the cars, like they are the ones making all the decisions. I hope your family member is doing well and isn't feeling too much pressure from us raving lunatics lol. Personal and mental health is more important than me getting my Bronco a little quicker

No sorry.. I am getting second-hand info from a family member who works at MAP.
Just curious, where in the process is he? Beginning, middle, end?

Dealership contacted me yesterday, figured it would be about my ship date. Nope, they had a Bronco come in and wanted to try and sell it to me instead of waiting on my order.

In their defense, I guess, they didn't realize mine had been built and was waiting to ship.:)

I get that. People assume it's joe on the line that forgot to order the part and holding everyone up!

He is at the end.

I will not say the job so I can't get blamed if something is wrong when people get their trucks LOL

It appears they may be re-starting the main system shortly.

It really isn't forgetting to order the parts.

The suppliers are having major problems getting parts from their suppliers thus impacting the OEM.

I work for a supplier and can tell you this isn't a lack of planning or anything like that....

The supply chain and shipping channels are sooooo fragile... one hiccup and the whole house comes down.

I work in IT and I have equipment I ordered last November that isn't expected to get to me until October of this year.

I just want to say I appreciate everyone's contributions in this thread. Right now we have an 84% participation rate in the spreadsheet, which is higher than any other build week!
