Lux package Dash USBs always hot or by ignition?

Haven't got my Bronco yet, however, I have a dash cam that I want to use that I really want to come on and go off when I turn on/off the ignition. I definitely want to use the Dash USBs under the windshield, but I'm not sure if they are always hot or not? If they are always hot, can they somehow be wired to only be hot with the ignition? Just don't want to be constantly remembering to unplug the cam from the USB port.

To make it run even when the car is off:
BAT to brake light, interior map light, something that's always on
ACC to cig lighter
GND to chassis

To make it run only when the car is on:
BAT and ACC to cig lighter
GND to chassis

Badlands Lux.
With the "key" off, there is no power on the dash USB Port.
I cycled the "key" to accessory which turned the USB Port on.
Turning the "key" off again did not shut the power down to that USB Port.
I opened the door to shut everything off and even locked the door with the fob and the power was still at the Dash USB Port. Not sure how long it will stay on. I'll go out again and check in a little while.

Edit: 20 minutes later, dash USB still powered up.

The power to the USBs times out. Similar to the 12v outlets and inverter in the broncos.

I wanted the dash cam I installed on my wife's Bronco to always be on but still have the option to turn off when parked at home in the garage. So I wired it up to the overhead aux switch 6 and reconfigured the switch wiring to have 5&6 as constant hot. I also didn't want the cameras to be obvious for a thief to easily grab since she knows not to lock her Bronco w/ her soft top.

Not to hijack the tread but does anybody know if those top USB ports can be used for wired Apple CarPlay or are they for charging only? Thanks!

That's a cool idea as well! Was it difficult to wire it up? And where did you "hide" it, so to speak?

You could always get one of these. Its a USB pigtail that connects to the auto-dimming mirror.
