🛠 01/24/22 Build Week Group

Well I had some family over for dinner and right after I sat down I got a call from an unknown number in Detroit. As many of you know I sent an email to several Ford Execs this week so I took the call. Well…it was Ford calling me! The person I spoke explained she represents the Ford Executive team and had read and shared my email in a meeting today. She said the focus of the meeting was specifically in the lack of communication to people on ice mountain. I spoke to her for at least 15 minutes and she explained that it is a chip shortage that caused the backup. She said the problem they are facing is a lack of skilled personnel that can install chips in the Broncos on Ice Mountain as well as weather issues. They are working hard to clear the backlog and they are aiming to get all of them out in under 90 days. I thanked her profusely for calling me and asked that they please send some sort of update. She said they are working on putting together some sort of weekly email whether it is individually or collectively is TBD at this point. Awesome. I got a call from them too hadn’t had a chance to post here. Basic same message. She took my VIN and would be back in touch. Hopefully they hear us all like it seems.

I was hoping they had called you too. I kept stressing that all we really wanted was just some kind of update of their plan. She did not know the plan herself, but did stress she would continue to pass along the need for better communication. Good stuff!

LOL! I should have. Actually I asked her to work on mine specifically first and foremost and if she ever comes to Florida I’ll take her for a ride in it to the beach….

Email seems to have done the trick. As opposed to my rants on their Instagram post with a middle finger emoji.

Now let's see if they really send out some kind of regular update.

Random: I saw a base Bronco with American flag lettering on the grille today in my small town. They're like unicorns here. I'm always reminded why I want one so bad when I see one in person.

thanks so much for sharing about the phone call!!...and thanks to all who sent emails, tweets and participated in the petition! I would help take the whole damn Ford Bronco team riding on the beach anywhere from St. Augustine down past Daytona (i live on Hammock Beach halfway in between) if they can get mine built and delivered!! I'm about to start stealing my daughter's which showed up last month and was built the week before this "production hell week"
