This time last year Ford was still promising us approximate build dates by May 2021. That would have helped manage expectations. Even if they couldn't give you a rough date because of parts shortages, if they could say something like "with current parts inventories, we anticipate we'll build approximately 40,000 more Broncos before we get to yours", that would be super helpful.

Now I doubt they would even be capable of providing such a guess, because of how much every specific dealer's allocation dominates the build date. Also they know that people on sites such as B6G would compare notes and get pissed when they clearly see their unchangeable choice of dealer pushing back builds 1+ years.

Patience. I put in my reservation order 7/17/2019. Yes, 2019. Finalized my order March 19 2020. Updated in December for my 2022MY. Still not worried. It will be built. Just need the parts to build it. And I understand that many things in the US are becoming scarce which is beyond Ford's control.
Ummm...order banks did not open until 7/13 of 2020! EDIT: I meant RESERVATIONS did not open until 7/13/20!

Yup. 8/8/20 reservation and no VIN, nothing. I even added a counter in my signature to see how long I've been waiting.

Just spoke with my dealer on the phone. They are going to remove the tow package.
If they drop it today you could possibly preview tomorrow. Maybe double check before close that they did it, unless you are comfortable that they did. Maybe have them e-mail you a copy of your new order.

Did anyone else have to look this one up? I feel like I used to know what this "hope" was but at some point in the past, nearly 600 days just blacked it out of my memory.

hope
/hōp/
https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1...2ahUKEwibxdSxh6P2AhUKU98KHaPSCakQ3eEDegQIBBAK
noun

a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.

ARCHAIC
a feeling of trust.
"our private friendship, upon hope and affiance whereof, I presume to be your petitioner"

Jokes aside. I've been trying to just stop hoping as best I can. If I stay excited I stay frustrated. I just want to forget I reserved one. That was sometime in a year or so I'll get a great surprise rather than spending 12 months pissed... I've been trying to do this... but it's not really working.

Why the Oct re-order?

I think folks assume the tow package IS THE PROBLEM but we don't know that. Since Ford won't actually tell us much.
Why the Oct re-order?

Actually we do know that. In the document that went to dealerships a few days ago it mentioned the 7-pin hitch asa major constraint and could be dropped. They even gave a part number for the dealer installed 4-pin option that can replaces it. Specifically they said it is currently on 62% of all orders and capacity to fulfill on that demand is only 35%

I know I’m way later than most on here so I probably shouldn’t complain. April 2021 Res/June 21 order then OCT 21 reorder but I’m def losing hope. Current beater may not make it to 2023. Thinking about a switch to a Lexus GX but they’re few and far between as well. My order is a White/Badlands/2.7/SAS/High package. Reserved/ordered from my small local dealer.

Anyone else losing hope? I'm a 7/20/20 res holder with a 1/20/21 order and 10/2021 re-order. Still nothing in terms of a VIN or Build date. Just complete silence from Ford. Yes, I have most of the sins selected. But now almost 2 years out it's getting ridiculous. Who else is in a similar position and losing hope? Seeing people place orders over a year after my reservation and getting their build within months has been completely demoralizing. My girlfriend ordered a Bronco Sport in October 2021 and just took delivery this week, which is now making me itch to get my Bronco. Now looking at the prospects of getting pushed to a 2023.

I'm considering eliminating the tow package to try and speed things up and going aftermarket later. The main reason I wanted the tow is to put a bicycle hitch carrier for my mountain bikes.

Anyone else in the same boat as me?

2 years out. That is a funny one. Exaggerating does not help

I just had this discussion with my kid the other day. My whole Bronco dream is nostalgia driven off of my parents '69 that they used to have which is why I am married to a 2-Door as well and the extreme limitations put on the build due to the MIC.

I've strung together 2-3 beaters in an attempt to get to Bronco nirvana but I don't know if I want to play that game again. If I do pull away from the Bronco it won't be for a Jeep or a Land Rover or anything in a similar vein, it will just to have a nice vehicle that I don't have to hold together with duct tape ;-)

Both of my kids are trying to talk me into hanging in there and I probably will until my current POS dies but when that happens, more than likely, the dream dies as well.

EDIT: 2-Door Badlands, 2.7, High Package towing removed. 10/2020 reservation

Less hope today. Turns out one of the major exports of Russia is neon gas and some other gas that are both used for, wait for it......chip production.

Buddy I have the exact same package and dates as you, AND YES, I am so over this and giving up hope for sure. Its absolutely ridiculous Ford can't even offer an estimated build week for folks like us. I've tried calling them, e-mailing them, working with dealer as they say to do and all the other BS. None of this makes any sense. If the rev. date, or any other date really meant anything you would think we would know something by now. They have handled this launch horribly and their communication is even worst.
