Same. I have a little pile of parts going. Nothing fancy. Most are pre ordered like the Baja Designs pocket fog light kit and IAG EZ lift struts for the soft top. I’ll see if I can reduce checking the forum 5 times per hour to 1 time per hour.

Reminds me. I gotta order side steps still and maybe speakers. The wife will need the steps and along with mud flaps they will help protect the body a bit from gravel being tossed up.

I'll have some Ford sliders up for grabs at some point.

Nice! I also need side steps. I actually got a little backstage pass/tour at IAG and saw their preproduction retrofit steps for the OEM rock rails. They’re awesome! I tried their V1 and V2. Both are great. V2 has a 2” drop and it made a nice difference. V1s sit right at the top of the rail. IAGs facility and capability was insane. Very very impressive. They should be sending updates on those steps soon.

IAG is awesome. I used some of their stuff back when I had an WRX STI. I was going to get one of their short blocks if my engine ever went. It didn't and I ended up selling the subi.

Those steps are really nice, but I think I'm gonna go for something full length. It will give a little more coverage as far as blocking stones and I have a 3 month old so I figure the extra real estate will make it easier to get his car seat in and out.

That’s awesome. The IAG operation was unreal! I lost count of the amount of CNC machines, laser cutters, press brakes, titanium billet rods, fittings. They make so many things! The long blocks… wow! That is awesome that you one of their long blocks. Wish I had a Subaru! They also let me try their EZ lift on that Bronco features in their video. And they went as far as removing the struts so I could try to open and close the soft top without them to really see the difference. Just an awesome group of people.

I hear you in the full length rails. I wish there was more protection on the OEM. I need to at least start with steps bc my wife and I are expecting our first born and she moves along, I want to make it easier to get into the bronco. But I’m looking at full length stuff as well. I’m torn, I’d like to use the OEM. Certainly paying good money for it.

I was gonna get one of their blocks, but ended up selling the car first.

I thought about ordering the OEM steps, but I just like some of the aftermarket offerings more and some are a bit cheaper too!

Anyways, congrats on the upcoming baby! I hope everything goes well for you. It is a very different, wonderful, and challenging experience. Best of luck!

Thanks very much! Exciting time. My wife said, you got your VIN, you’re getting your Bronco, and now you’re going to be a dad, you’re going to go Plaid!

Going plaid baby!

I need all the best dad advice you all have! Like, activities you can do with a newborn and a Bronco. Baja 1000? King of the Hammers? Dakar Rally? No? I'm new at this.
