I do think you need to remove part of the bumper. Good luck and congratulations!I'm headed out to the garage to attempt to remove the crash bars, as my 315/70/r17 KO2s are getting installed tomorrow morning, along with my Black Rhino wheels. I'm hoping I can remove them without messing with the capable bumper. I can't wait to see your Bronco leveled with your other items!
Thank you! After spending a few minutes with the bumper, it looks like there is some sort of removable cap at the ends. I am going to pop off some bolts and see what happens!I do think you need to remove part of the bumper. Good luck and congratulations!
Dang! I don't know!Thank you! After spending a few minutes with the bumper, it looks like there is some sort of removable cap at the ends. I am going to pop off some bolts and see what happens!
Spending a few more minutes under the Bronco, I noticed both front cv joints are severely rusted already. Is this normal? Side effects of sitting on Ice Mountain?

So I’ve got the front crash bar off the left side. Had to remove (7) 5/16 bolts to get enough play in the plastic piece blocking the crash bar from pulling straight out. Some of the bolts are a pain to get to and will probably be even more of a pain to get back in soon. Here is a quick pic of the plastic piece moved enough with the crash bar gone:I'm headed out to the garage to attempt to remove the crash bars, as my 315/70/r17 KO2s are getting installed tomorrow morning, along with my Black Rhino wheels. There are lots of threads related to surface rust on near new broncos. I think it’s normal.Thank you! After spending a few minutes with the bumper, it looks like there is some sort of removable cap at the ends. I am going to pop off some bolts and see what happens!

There’s a thread on this somewhere. There’s no protective coating or something put on some of the undercarriage stuff. Only surface rust they say. For now.Thank you! Can you find out if this is causing delays on the 1/17 builds? Asking for a friend. So I just talked to my friend that works at Michigan assembly Plant and he told me they are still currently waiting on semiconductor chips which is not really the main issue. they’re also having a shortage of airbags. The airbags that were placed in the Broncos (1/24-26/22)are faulty so on top of the semiconductors being faulty the airbags are faulty as well. So this is why probably people that were built during those days are not seeing much movement.
