Good question. Also I would think with us 24 to 26ers, they would have to bring these Broncos indoors to do the airbag repair right? Not a field plug and chug
Not sure. I’ve watched some videos on swapping the outer steering wheel on the base for a big bend and it’s pretty simple. A couple tabs and the center with the airbag pops out and unplugs.

If they are sitting out in the weather and need airbags and other mods it really concerns me for long term quality. Maybe I’m overly concerned but this is the most I will spend on a vehicle and don’t want it falling apart in a couple of years. Man, just wish they would have shut the line down and not built us to put us out to pasture.

some of the 2021 broncos had an airbag recall, so it makes sense that they wouldn't want new airbag issues being public knowledge so blame it all on chip holds since that's industry wide and believable, as opposed to sourcing crap airbags yet again.

Realistically, I believe that retrofitting airbag and computer control units will require a follow-up QC test/s before releasing the vehicle for consumer use. I'm having a really hard time envisioning a manufacturing organization like Ford sending a "guys" to the parking lot to complete "build" a Bronco.

Please tell me that I am right in my assumptions.

I picture scratched plastic and other damage from reworking what was more or less finished.

I picture a lawsuit(s) in case of the wrong airbag installation.

Said that I still don't understand why they are not returning and integrating the frozen vehicles to the end of the line to complete them gradually with the current production.

Hell, I don’t need an airbag. This is what the steering wheel looked like in my car in high school.

Okay y’all. I need help making a decision. My bronco is stuck on “1/26 production” like everyone else here and my patients is gone, especially seeing later builds after us getting theirs sooner… I found a local one that is similar to my build but a 2021 with a 5k mark up.

Should I wait for our potential May/June/July Bronco or get this one now?

My bronco in production right now was just my “get built fast” order. I have another hardtop/lots of features build already ordered but not scheduled yet.

I personally will wait at least 3 months. If it's not ready in 3 months, I'm just going to get a huffy bike and live my life pedaling.

Honestly I am in the same boat, but I’m thinking of just ordering a Ford raptor instead. Please someone talk me out of it lol

5k is one of the better ADMs I've seen. Anymore and I'd say no way. But Hmm...?

One thing I noticed on my Wildtrack soft top after receiving that everyone should check. On the roll cage on back drivers side the paint was scratched. This is caused when they install the soft top in the factory and rubbing against it when it gets folded up. I told my sales rep today and will be getting it touched up at my first service.

I noticed this on the Wildtrak mannequin that I test drove at my dealers too, those bars are scratched to hell..
