So when was the first time you noticed?

@Alvin Olson I believe you installed the M&R DRL/spots in your mod bumper, right? I just ordered and will attempt to install myself (!!) Did you run the passenger side wiring over to the driver side, connect those together then run the driver up to the aux wiring? I'm trying to picture how to run everything while still not having a Bronco...

BTW, if anyone knows my wife, that $450 charge is for her birthday present in April!

I wanted to give y’all a personal perspective that many on here have had to deal with. In early January I got sick and was diagnosed with Covid, no big deal, I’m vaxed, in good-ish shape and have had Covid once before about 4 mo ago. Well I was wrong. I was just released last night from the hospital, still on oxygen, dealing with Covid pneumonia.

I’m not sure why I wrote this to y’all, maybe it’s just to make sure you are carful, maybe it’s to make sure you tell the ppl that are important to you that they are truly important to you. I’m completely reevaluating my entire life, all material objects as well as my career. I’m now searching ways to enjoy the last few decades I have left. My advise is to be thankful for what you have while still remaining hopeful for what is in your future, IE finally getting your Bronco delivered.

My bronco has been sitting at my dealership for weeks and weeks and they have been very supportive. I hope to surprise my wife with having her delivered to our driveway next weekend. Y’all take care and keep up the posts, they have been a godsend to me.
Thanks so much for your candor and intimate perspective. Sometimes I feel guilty, or at least superficial, bitching about my first world problems with my Bronco. Yet, I have often reflected on how, at age 72, my days enjoying this, the last car I will ever own, are numbered to likely way less than some "last few decades." In fact, in sleeping dreams and waking dreams (life!), cars (and other machines and objects, like houses) represent the physical body. I fully expect my health to improve when I trade my beat up old Mustang for the Bronco.

Please take care of yourself and let us know how you're healing up.

It's Valentine's Day. I love you guys. 💝

make sure to include the wire harness kit. It is pre cut for the install.
I connected one end to the passenger side and ran the wire up and across the existing loom of wires between the radiator and engine. Then down a few inches to the drivers side the back up on the drivers side fender to the Aux wires. Hopefully this pictures help.

We attended the Bronco Off-Roadeo Event this past weekend.

It was an amazing experience. As a long time off road enthusiast, I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised though. The facility was top notch.
The instructors were awesome and very good at what they do.
We had plenty of outdoor classroom instruction then a full day of practical useful instruction.
I am truly impressed how much effort Ford has put into the technology of these trucks.

I can honestly say that every Bronco Owner needs to go to this class.

The day started at 9AM with orientation in the classroom as a meet and greet with your fellow classmates and instructors.
We broke into groups of 8 and each family had their own Bronco for the day.
We were then led outside to the ORX Classroom, which consisted of basic instruction on how to use the various off road options including the G.O.A.T. modes. This lasted for about an hour then we broke off to drive our designated Broncos each with a handheld radio for communication. We had a lead instructor and a tail gunner.
Every truck was inspected for safety and we were off on a 1.5 hour get used to driving off road easy mode trail.
We returned to base camp for a quick Bio Break as needed and to gather snack as needed.
Then it was back to the trails for another hour then back to base camp for Lunch.
After lunch we started having the real fun with 4 hours on the trails.
This included lots of technical rocks climbing and cliff diving.
We learned how to use the various options such as Off Road Cruise Control that let us dial in a speed to go up and down hills with different obstacles. We learned how to use the Trail Turn Assist and manual modes to allow for Engine Compression Braking.
The final hour of the off road portion of the day was a the quick track. This was a 2 mile dirt track with plenty of room for learning how to handle driving in Baja Mode. The track speed limit was 25 MPH and we were encouraged to follow said speed limit. This by far was the most fun part of the day for me, as this was in my wheel house of off road experience. I was very impressed on how well the Bronco did out there. I experimented with the different GOAT Modes and found my most fun setup was Baja Mode, 2H Traction Control Off. :) The throttle was very responsive and the drift was very predictable.

We returned to Base Camp for a nice Dinner at 6PM and shared our stories with our new friends.
Everyone exchanged pictures and contact information and spend money in the shop.
It was a great day.

Looks amazing!! did everyone get to pick their bronco or was it assigned based on what you have or were ordering? Seems like you would want to get what you are going to be driving, but thought i would ask.

Thank you! So if I see it correctly, at your driver side light, you have the driver side wiring, passenger wiring and the feed to the aux all tied together? I did order with the harness, good call!

Let the crazy train chasing begin. Mine is on Norfolk Southern and left some place I didn’t understand in Ohio at 4:55 yesterday so it really is on it’s way! This is going to become addictive 😂

It was a bit too cold to be outside for us Texans, but we survived. The wind was the big culprit.
Tips, hmm.. they really had the setup well prepared. We stayed at the Horseshoe Bay resort, it is part of the same land the Trails are on so it is a 10 minute drive or a quick shuttle. However, at the risk of seeming cheap, the resort was a bit over priced for the quality of the room. Maybe it was just me, and they were super busy with weddings and A list talents at the light club there.

So far as the trail goes, bring snacks and drinks with you, or they will give you boxes of water and giant slim jims.

Lunch and Dinner are provided and it was a good spread. Dress for out doors, long pants, closed shoes, bring a jacket, normal stuff.

It will be fun, you and the wife will enjoy it. The whole event was pretty chill and I never felt unsafe. Well other than when we drove off the side of a hill, but that was on purpose and no one died :)
Did you say Slim Jims?

Hell yeah, Brother!!

But seriously, thanks for the tips. We are at Horseshoe bay too, just figuring… we’ll, that’s the place to be.

Hopefully it will warm up a bit (for the wife), but we will bring some warm stuff just in case. I was cracking up at the boxed water. WTF? But hey, there’s Slim Jims, so…
