Following Ford’s business model: ask people to reserve sight unseen, product untested, and just based off computer generated image. For all we know, this will end up being worse than the MIC top…which I doubt, but we just don’t know.

I called it! Sorry, but I'm happy those that jumped the line with soft tops gonna have to wait for the hard tops in 2024 and still gonna cost them thousands, those who are waiting for Ford and their Bronco with hardtops are winning this round. IMO

Totally agree here. Not to mention, there’s a market for those still wanting a MIC top now and not wanting to wait to purchase though Ford. I’ll gladly sell mine for a few thousand and upgrade to what ADV is offering.

I love my soft top, I dont really have complaints I expected it to be colder and louder inside. That said, I'm still interested in a white hardtop, I also want the ram air hood they are offering, but I have no idea how to get it up to Canada, I don't currently have e a passport to drive down and pick the stuff up and shipping costs are insane!

‘how would you fold your soft top back with flat hard window ..my soft top window is not wavy, but I know how to put the top back on properly
I guess I wasn't clear, if you look at the back side flexible windows in the bestop soft top, when the top is up they lay flat, just like they do in all the jeeps I own. The back side windows on the Bronco have horizontal waves in it. If you have a ford factory top without the waves you have the only one without the waves.

It’s a garbage argument they made. Lol The aftermarket will be there for the Bronco for decades. The people charging a Bronco tax can shutter their doors and the world will move right along. The customer is always right (the real origin of the phrase, not the bastardization people use at grocery stores). If their pricing is too high, someone will eventually come along and fit the demand at a more reasonable price point. Or maybe once ADV recoups their ”hundreds of hours of R&D” and gouge the early adopters, they’ll come back down to earth. But by that point, I’ll probably already go OEM where I can fit my 4 doors in the cargo area on a MIC 3.0.
I know we can go back and forth On this issue but historically the price on new products to the market are higher than they will be once more competitors enter the market because: the company does have to recoup R&D expenses and initial start- up expenses and because the market will bear it due to early adopters and enthusiasts.
the ADV price is not gouging the customer. I think it is a reasonable price (although too expensive for me) for being first to the market with this type of product.

The wave in the windows is by design obviously to allow for the clamshell/kickstand feature.

But I've always wondered how many people would be willing to switch to the soft top if they removed the kickstand feature and just offered a more "traditional" soft top.

It is hard to understand the pricing.
(1) One can buy a soft 4 door bestop for $1400.
(2) The upgrade from a stock soft top to MIC is $700.
(3) The ADV hard top is $5750 now.
Question: How much is it to buy a stock soft top along? $5000+ ?

Much cheaper than I expected. Pricing is very
Competitive and close to what Ford will sell for.
How do you figure? Ford is charging much less for a hard top, and even if you add the cost of a soft top to the upcharge of hard top, it comes out around $2,500; right?

So your saying this crappy looking wave in the side windows of the factory soft top is intentionally done, and there was no way they could have engineered it to pull tight when you lower the rear down. Hmmm

A hard top is around $7,000 through Ford parts. A softop is $3,200. I know it’s a $795 walk up from the factory, but I don’t see Ford accessories selling one for $3,500 next year.

The Bestop Trektop doesn’t collapse all the way down like that OEM … it just folds back and is said to be a bear to install/uninstall. It’s not an easy switch to go from soft top to hard top. For those reasons, Bestop is not an option for many … until they offer a plug n play replacement option.

$3200 for an OEM soft top? I was told around $1200-ish.
