I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning toward leasing for one reason, Carfax. In today's world all accidents even minor ones get record on Carfax and the resales value gets hammed. Ever try to sell a cars with a Carfax accident? I'm planning on a 30% down, lease it for 3 years and if no accidents then buy out the lease. This is contingent of the lease interest rate, if it is too high, I would then consider financing. But if either interest rate is over 2% it will be cash.

But I need to get mine, Ford has messed up my order!!! 540+ days and still waiting.

Cash. Getting ready to retire. most likely my last vehicle.
Yes this will probably be my last ordered car also, hoping to retire, but will finance at these low rates.

And to be clear - I am NOT buying and flipping my Bronco. I just have 3 young kids and am not sure it's going to be the long term vehicle for our family. We're giving it a go.

IF I do decide to sell it. I will attempt to sell it for what I paid (+ tax) and any major accessories I add (weathertech liners, new leather wrapped wheel, rock rails). I would definitely not being attempting to make a buck on it.
Oh, it's nothing to me if you are or aren't. I was just commenting. I'd sell for what the market will bare, personally.

I wanted to pay cash, but my dealer said I wasn't "allowed" to do that here in Canada because it'll be flagged for money laundering....

I’ve got my pre-approval at 1.9% do I have the cash? No. However I have the credit to do so. The mindset I pay cash is better than the bank is stupid. I say do whatever you want with your money and do whatever makes you happy. On that note. Please be smart if you are financing.

Cash, there wasn’t enough of a balance to get a loan. We traded in two vehicles due to downsizing for retirement .

Our plan is to pay 50% cash and 50% finance....if we ever actually get the car.

All depends on interest rates in the year 2121 when my Bronco finally arrives after being pushed back 99 times to the Century Anniversary Edition.

Really it all depends what rates are. Like others have said, if the loan interest rate is lower than what you anticipate market returns would be why would you turn away the opportunity to invest the remaining portion?

$20k down and a 2.5% loan for the rest. I don't like owing more than $50k on a single purchase/item at any time and the larger down helped a lot with the monthly payments and additional insurance rate. I plan to pay it off within 2 years.

I chose to pay cash for a complete solar setup at our house which has a stupid ROI, but the financing is about twice the rate, plus appraisal and app fee's. This way, I eliminate power bills for 25 years while purchasing a depreciating asset.

Agreed
Pandemic......so plenty of time on hand.
Decided to build solar / battery back up shed and panels to rely on during power outages.
Kept me occupied while nothing else going on.
Now, what to make while waiting for the Bronco?
