Looks the same to me but I am sure there is a difference.

Haha, reminds me of my reaction when I picked it up initially (the first time). I didn't notice the back was different from my original design mock-up.

Here's an easier comparison (look at how it "ends" around the tail light). Also, the door jamb piece is much different, but I care less about that lol.

Huge difference, looks like they took the entire file and scaled it to about 80% and re-cut. Looks good! Still can't figure out why it would have lifted. (I own a sign company and I've been wrapping cars for 15 years, never have actually had the "old roll" of material excuse be true, but who knows).

Glad they sorted it out for you with no complaints, whatever accident happened, that's a sign (hah) of a great shop!

They didn't say it was an old roll, but did suggest the adhesive material may not have been bonded properly to the vinyl from the manufacturer. Shit happens; there's always bad batches of stuff and they were very good about it. Definitely a great shop that takes pride in their work

Edit: Forgot to mention - Yes, they did scale it differently to ensure it fit the way it should. It's weird because on their digital mock-up before, it looked like it fit the vehicle perfectly, but this time they took physical measurements and adjusted it.

Ah, if you have PPF that makes more sense, I also just noticed the snow...that cold can really affect the adhesion. Either way, it looks amazing!! Enjoy!

I asked them about the cold too - They said that was less of an issue, as they did other wraps during our cold snap and haven't seen any issues (at least, not yet). It doesn't usually get that cold here, but the week they did my original wrap it was -15 or so. This time it was warmer (around 0 degrees Celsius) and I left my vehicle at their shop overnight so it'd be warm when they started it. Couldn't hurt!

The important thing is that you are happy and it was all completed without a hassle and with integrity. I may be asking you for a referral to that shop when my turn arrives...

The most important thing was addressing the peeling issue. The fact they were able to make this small change is even better. Half the people won't even notice I'm sure, lol.

Vinyl Wrap Update #2:

Ok, so as mentioned yesterday, I was getting my wrap re-done. Below are some pictures of it completed, including the slight change to the rear wrap around by the tail lights. You'll also notice the new door jambs are more simple and clean.

Let me know what you think - Better than before, worse, both looked good, etc.?

Looks good, eh? I just asked the vinyl wrap place to do some protection there and said I wanted rounded off rectangles. They did that and I think it’ll be helpful. Personally I don’t step on that as I’m pretty tall however it should help passengers who may be shorter.
