Front plate is required in my state. I asked my dealer to leave it off and they did as directed. I told them I had purchased a bumper mounted bracket, they were enthusiastic about stocking them for other customers.

The service manager said they made it policy to verify with the customers on drilling front plate mounts or adding the dealer stickers.

If they dont replace it the plugs look decent when color matched.
The JB weld plastic filler looks good. I filled mine as it was hardening in about 3 layers. Will eventually get touch up paint but since its cactus gray I did green paint marker then silver sharpie. Catch a couple bugs up there and it's hardly noticeable.
I imagine they will hide behind the law and decline to replace but some good dealers give away touch up paint to all new buyers.

I dont think deal with it is way to roll with this. The Bronco is a special vehicle right now...First Edition or not. No salesman or technician should feel good about drilling holes in a vehicle like this...or any type of vehicle that was special ordered.

Mine came from the plant like that. I saw it come off the trailer that way. I asked why I wasn't involved in that decision and was told that the plant had to do that for states with front plates. Not sure that is true, but I didn't have a choice. Watching to see if you get any other info.
I am in CA and my Bronco arrived at the dealer without the front license plate. My dealer said that they installed them.

So when I picked up my First Edition the dealer had drilled 2 holes into the piano black metal of my front grill for their cheap ass license plate holder. Didn't ask me or warn me beforehand. Said they "had to" because a front plate is required in Maryland (tho not in my state.) I am so pissed I can't even talk to them yet. Do I have a case for demanding a new undamaged grill from the dealer? From Ford?
Anyone have any ideas for how to handle this?

Tell them to get you a new grill did you specifically tell them not to put it on my bronco is getting ready to arrive next week and the gm emailed me that he gave my request to my salesman and to the shop manger not to install the bracket on my car or put dealer badges on it’s all about communication

My Bronco is not drilled. I made sure of that. It is required in the state of CA and I had to sign a release at the dealership. That being said, on my last car, an R32, there wa a class action, and all of original buyers were entitled to a whole new front end. It was a big deal.

Same at Galpin Policy is to ask.

LMAO! You won't live long enough to see any collector value. It's a mass produced SUV. Granted right now they are tough to get. You can bank on Ford making as many as they can sell. Expecting your dealer or Ford to do something about it is beyond crazy.

Didnt say anything about collector value. Just what I would expect for a special ordered vehicle. It could be a damn skateboard but it's my skateboard and I want it how I want it. Having low expectations is okay if you r fine with that.

Never have I heard of this being installed at the factory. It’s always a dealer install.
