My version. Hooks are standard flat hooks with about 1/2” cut off of them. I thought I would need a third point in the front, but I did not end up using it. I plan on shortening the whole set up eventually.

Very cool! So the center of gravity is where the two hook points are on the back? No leveling hook for the front?

Looks like it, as long as the back window is opened. It probably doesn't balance if the window is closed.

If anyone is building one out, I have an extra set of straps from CustomTieDowns. They worked great, but were a tad too long for my lift/ceiling to get into a loft I have in my garage. So I have an adjustable one now.

~$20 + shipping (I'll proably post in marketplace over the weekend). PM me if intersted.

Pictures below of the extra strap I have and my winch track solution for the storage loft. Amazon winch, track from Home Depot, straps from CustomTieDowns. I use the winch for both hard top and softtop storage. 2 different sets of straps though - soft top has a 3 point strap.

Neil

btw, the balance point of the rear most slots works when the window is closed as well.

I shortened it up. The window does need to be opened to balance it.

With some of the issues around the rear window struts separating from the glass, I didn't want to risk leaving the window open. My setup making a cage out of unistrut and finding the balance point to pick that from while using the 4 points works with the window closed. I added a 2nd pick point for when the cage is empty so it stays balanced at the ceiling as well.
