the oem tailgate, aal or any other deck/slide system doesnt allow access to those compartments either without uninstalling them. you trade that for better tie down options and cargo access/organization. "absolutely horrible design and you should not release it" is a stretch to say the least
The AAL stuff ive got:
Shelf
floor
6" drawer
flip n slide, dometic 45
flat slide
dual battery, 4 cell with redarc
bottle opener/trash bag holder
works really well, I wheel with a family of 4 and all the stuff needed for a 5 day week. I like that everything has a place and we dont have to play...
on one hand it looks like your rack could handle more dynamic load.
On the other hand no dynamic load rating mentioned, looks like I’d give up my roam box and ability to remove panels, gain wind noise with the a pillar bars. Also more weight being steel.
what’s the upsell?
raptors mod plenty, just look at the f150 raptor forums. or better yet, contact expeditionoffroad, a group that does raptor runs in baja often. a big point of failure on raptors is top hat failure and in the early days, bent frames. this solution helps with both issues. the raptor can be pushed...
ive got the trailrax with paxrax, and I can fit an xcover 2.0 4 person tent, roam 95L,and roofnest litewing and its all <300lbs with blankets, pillows and gear in my roam box. trailrax ftw!
LOL only one here buthurt is you for getting called out on shitting on mods. read the room dude, no one GAF about your "trash" opinions.
cleaner pipes, larger intake opening, reusable filter, filter window, increased intake/BOV volume, first raptor intake on the market, on and on seems worth it...
